Ever since I can remember I’ve had a love for traveling. As a kid, I used to take trips with my family, sometimes local to home or others, from state to state. My childhood trips fueled a dream of worldwide travel but these days I find myself enjoying spontaneous trips with my family, which are serving to keep me content until I can make my dreams for worldwide travel a reality. Over the last few years, we’ve traveled to some great places as a family and have made memories that I know will last a lifetime.
One of our more recent trips, that we took last year, was to a beautiful town called Madison, located on the coast of Connecticut. Known to have the states longest beach, Madison is a tourist hotspot, especially during the summer months when schools are out on vacation and looking to soak up the sun in their leisure time. The town center is also a great place to visit if you’re in search of some shopping, eateries or casual places to spend time when you’re not touring the town or taking advantage of the sunny weather down at the beach.

When my family and I visited Madison, we were able to stay at the gorgeous . Located within walking distance to their attended beach, this particular hotel is known for its spa properties as well as its luxurious, modern decor and was absolutely lovely from top to bottom. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway for you and your significant other or as a vacation destination for the entire family, the Madison Beach Hotel couldn’t be more ideal.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location, thanks to access to the private beach, for activities such as kayaking, walking, biking, fishing and even bird watching. If you’re more into exploring the town and shopping rather than sport like activities, then you won’t be disappointed by the boutiques, eateries and specialty shops that Madison has to offer. If you’re a fan of nostalgia, there’s also a neat old-fashioned movie theater that you can visit for an evening of old-timey entertainment. Don’t miss the famous RJ Julia Bookshop.

The hotel itself is magnificent. The rooms and suites are decorated in a style that is both elegant and comfortable, providing couples and families a stay that they can’t get enough of. The rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean’s Long Island Sound and also feature free wi-fi (great if you’re bringing work with you) a refrigerator (keeping snacks handy and cutting costs of dining out is essential when vacationing with family!) and bedding that’ll make you wish you never had to get out of bed!

One of my favorite things about our room was the bathroom. It sounds silly but I love to lock myself in a nice bathroom while on vacation and just soak in a tub of hot water to melt away the stress of the day. As an added bonus, the Madison’s bathroom is built using gorgeous Italian Marble so you really feel like you’re staying in luxury.
Staying at the Madison Beach Hotel was so much for my family and I. We dined at some delicious places as a family, explored the beach and indulged in some much-needed bonding time together. Between the luxurious rooms, plethora of amenities to choose from and the many activities available in the surrounding area, it was truly a fantastic experience.

And don’t forget to order the lobster eggs benedict when you enjoy breakfast on that amazing porch!
