Go-To Shoe: Metallic Wedges

A few years ago, an impromptu shoe purchase at TJ Maxx changed my life.

Up until then, I tended to wear mostly utilitarian, basic sandals.  Black and brown and boring, oh my.

I bought a no-name brand of metallic wedge sandals.  Which I proceeded to wear the soles out of.  Twice.

Since then, I have determined that a metallic shoe goes with everything.  You can dress them up, dress them down, and wear them everywhere.

My new favorite hobby is mixing my metals – wearing golds with silvers and bronzes.  It’s scary at first, but I think I’m usually the only one who notices.

Luckily for all of you, there are a million fun new metallic sandals for spring – in just about every budget and style.

Some of the following may or may not be headed to my doorstep as we speak.

Clarks Laguna Jewel, $56 on 6pm.com:

These Clarks are bound to be comfortable, right??

Calvin Klein Emmah, $88 at zappos.com:

Perfect for long or short shorts!

Aerosoles Pushed Velvet Sandals, $79 at Macys:

I love the retro styling of this pair!

Stuart Weitzman Washkimbow, $365 at Nordstrom.com:

It just wouldn’t be a shopping post without a lust pair, right?

Along with my Havaianas, I will be rocking assorted metallic wedges all summer long.

Do you have a go-to summer shoe??
