What’s the best part about fall? Pumpkin Spice everything? Apple pie warm from the oven? Walking with leaves crunching underfoot?
Sorry. You’re all wrong. The best part of fall is BOOTS.
But there are so very many. What do you need in your closet?
Black riding boot. Classic. Goes with everything – EVERYTHING. Splurge here, ladies. A good riding boot will be in your closet for the next 20 years at least. Our picks? Splurge: Tory Burch Bristol Leather Riding Boot ($498) Save: Annie Saffron Boot ($59.95)
Rain boots. You think you’ll never wear them. Then you finally get a pair and realize you wear them all the time. Bonus? Buy a pair of fuzzy, warm boot liners and BAM! Winter boots!
Splurge: Hunter Wellies ($140) Save: Kamik ($50)
Neutral Ankle Bootie. No longer a fad, these have been around for several years and keep coming up every season. Worth buying, in my opinion. These are the perfect option for skirts/shorts if you have shorter legs, as they don’t visually cut you off at the ankle, so they add the illusion of a longer leg.
Splurge: Toms Suede Laceup Wedges ($89) Save: Sonoma Suede Ankle Bootie ($40)
Casual Brown Boot: For everyday. Turn up those jeans and cardis with an awesome, comfy everyday boot. These get the most milage in my closet!
Splurge: Frye Phillip Tall Harness Boot ($348) Splurge: Mossimo Kayce Tall Boot ($40)
What would you add to a must-have boot collection?
