She grew up a child of the ’80s when the only thing bolder than the makeup was the voluminous hair. She came by her affection for beauty products honestly as her mom spoiled her at a young age with Lancome skincare products and Paul Mitchell hairspray, and instilled in her the notion that a lady never leaves the house without her face on.
While she’d rather be at the mall, she lives in the kitchen and online. A brand ambassador, freelance writer, conference speaker and connector of people, Jo-Lynne writes the award-winning lifestyle blog, Musings of a Housewife; and she’s co-founder of the Philly Social Media Moms, a vibrant networking group providing community, support and education for 200+ area bloggers.
She founded Chic Critique in 2008, which eventually became All Things Chic when she and Melissa joined forces in January of 2011. Today Melissa owns the site, and Jo-Lynne has joined the ranks of the chic contributors who help keep you apprised of the latest trends, show you how to get those celebrity looks for less, and point you towards the best deals.
As a busy work-at-home mom, Jo-Lynne has discovered that there are some things more important than having her face on before she leaves the house, like having her daughter to school on time, but she still loves to glam it up for a night out every once in a while. You can usually find her on Twitter as JoLynneS or curled up with her Kindle and a glass of red wine.
