Well, first I followed the advice of the nester and her sister in trying out the jergens natural flow facial moisturizer, which nicely enough came with a free sample of the jergens natural glow firming cream… yes i have a few places that need firming! So, already i aprreciate the reviews here on the chic critique for bringing me to jergens.
I am what I prefer to call a brand non-loyalist. I love to find new things on sale and try them out, love trying something new even if it doesn’t work out, its worth adventure of trying it. So, I’m probably not exactly what chic critique is looking for in terms of a guest review. I AM great at telling you what not to try, since my forays into trying new products frequently have me finding things that aren’t worthwhile. I will say one product that I continue to go back to is my inexpensive Maybeline Mascara. You know, the one with the pink bottle and the lime green lid. No matter how many other mascaras I try, nothing really does the job like the good ol’ Maybeline, and since I’m constantly on a budget, this one works great for me! My lashes are always evenly coated, clump free, and combed nicely (I abhor those mascara applicators that look so fuzzy you feel like you’re using a cat’s tail to apply mascara, and the ones that literally look like a hair comb leave giant clumps on my sparse lashes).
Here’s hoping I win. If I do, I want to buy some fabulous lipstick… I’m in need of a great lip color!
I love the flat iron. I also hate the flat iron. My hair never looks the same!
I would to say what I love, but to be honest I am just now learning of Sephora. How sad is that!? I just got their book, titles Sephora, with a bunch of products. I really want to try Lip Venom, luminous trio in bronze, and lorac undercover lover.

I love Philosophy products. I’m dying for some spring 3 in 1 bath gels to trade out my winter flavors (spelling like peppermint in April is just not right). I HATE tweezers. I just can’t do it, it makes me cry. I have to go to the sweet waxing lady.
I think I’d like one of their lip glosses or a personalized fragrance (that sounds neat).

Product I hate — I just bought these facial cleansing cloths by Boots from Target. I usually love the Boots brand, but these cloths are the pits. I’m not sure they wash off anything. Hmm I’m going to go general and say the product I love to love is mascara (if it’s good). The porduct I love to hate is foundation/concealer because it just doesn’t work
I love my hair conditioning lotion (C-sytem) and I love to hate all of the cheap shampoos that make my hair frizzier than it already is! You know…those shampoos that you can buy at the dollar store…I won’t name any brands. 🙂
I love my Kerstase hair serum. I hate bikini waxes. I know, not really a product but I got one when I was pregnant and I will NEVER EVER do that again!
I am in Baton Rouge and Sephora opened up about a week and a half ago. Is it stalking that I called the number to the new store every day for a month wondering when they were really opening? I went the day they opened on my lunch hour and then again after work. The line was too long so I made no purchase that day. Again, is it stalking if I wake up and fall asleep thinking, “I need to go back to Sephora. Sephora……..Sephora…….Sephora.”
I am a skin care crazy girl! Love it all, will try most things, spend way too much. I agree with pretty much everything that the girls have reviewed. I have one suggestion that I have made to girl friends, Loreal has a mascara called “Telescopic……” something or another. Do not let the weird brush throw you off. It’s not really a brush, but man oh man, will it lengthen your lashes….if that is what you need. My girlfriends and I buy two at a time now because drugs are like that…….you don’t wanna run out, EVER! Give it a try.

The beauty product I love is my Bare Escentuals Bisque… it covers everything I want to keep hidden from the world.
The one I love to hate… anything that purports to control my frizzy hair. None of it works. I could rant for hours about every one that I have tried. At least some of them make my hair smell good.
Anyone want to stick their nose in my frizzy hair? 🙂
I love that Sephora has a selection of all natural and organic products. It’s so hard to research every single product to see what it has in it, so it’s nice to have a site that offers one-stop shopping.
I’m trying to overcome my love affair with cheap products to retrain myself to invest in quality, healthy products.
I’ve never bought anything from Sephora before, but I think The Healthy Body Butter in Vanilla Blossom looks like it would be good.
I probably would buy some organic makeup from them.

Well, I adore the bare escentuals line, and I love love love philosophy’s “The Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas” foundation. I also love benefit’s “miss popularity”! As for what I have a love/hate relationship with..I adore Caudalie’s “Radiance Day Fluid”I received it as a gift), but it’s so expensive that I can’t buy it without my husband having a nervous breakdown! lol

I love Lancome’s dual finish powder. I have used it for years and just recently have added a bit of foundation to my regime. I am not a big fan of the Maybelline mascara everyone seems to love in the pink and green tube. I truly don’t know why everyone raves about it. It smears, it flakes…I just don’t have good luck.

I’m so glad I found your site, I can’t wait to read more. I’m a beauty junkie and always love to read product reviews and recommendations. One of my favorite items (that I buy at Sephora;0) is by Bliss and it’s called Naked Body Butter. I slather it on as soon as I get out of the shower. It leaves your skin super soft and smooth.
Love my Bare Escentuals! Just got them – from Sephora – a few weeks ago, and couldn’t be happier (after watching the DVD, of course).
My other product that I go back to again and again is Touchbase for Eyes by Clinique.
I LOVE the benefit stuff. I have alot of that. I also love the philosophy bath products..mmm love me some peppermint!

I also love LashBlast. It is fantastic. I didn’t see it on this blog, but I am a life long user of Nivea body lotion. I use it every day.
I didn’t see anything that I hated other than the DuWop lip plumper that stung. I avoid lip plumpers. I was wearing some at my niece’s wedding. didn’t realize it was so flamable. I just reapplied it. They were passing out sparklers for everyone to lit. I lit mine and my hand caught fire. Apparently I had some of the lip plumper on my hand. Can you imagine setting your lips on fire????

I hate the phiolosophy products (on me they smell like peroxide – blech).

My favorite products are tinted lip balms – Savannah Bee Company Beeswax Lip Tint in Blackberry is my favorite (from Bath & Body Works). I also like the Burt’s Bees pretty well. My least favorite are those stay-on-forever lip products that are sooooo drying. And if I use a lot of moisturizing stuff over it, then I get the ring-around-the-mouth effect. The clear, glossy sticks that come with those are great though.
i LOVE sea breeze astrigent. I know, sooo old fashioned, but I love the smell!
I love my Olay Moisturizer and SPF in one… it is light, smells lovely and isn’t very expensive.
I don’t like Pantene shampoo and conditioner… it really dries out my hair.

Product I love? Do I have to choose one? OK…Aveda Hand Relief. I like me some soft hands.
Product I love to hate? I have to say Dermologica Dermal Clay Cleanser. I love the way my face feels when I am done cleaning, but I hate paying 32 bucks a bottle!

I love the Bare Escentuals products and I can only get them at Sephora! I also love some of the Clinque stuff too – especially their line smoothing concealer – for my dark undereyes – it’s the best I have found!
I LOVE Bare Escentuals, primarily because I hate to wear makeup and this is easy to put on and doesn’t look like you’re wearing makeup but takes care of the lines, spots, and uneven skin tones that can come after the age of 30. I love to hate my tweezers. I need them (no big bushy eyebrows for me!), but why does it have to HURT?

There are so many products I love – Urban Decay Primer Potion, Philosophy Purity, Bare Escentuals, Dior DiorShow mascara…the list could go on & on! There are not many products I hate – several I dislike because they don’t work for me, yes, but hate? I can only think of one really – Maybelline Great Lash mascara. It flakes, smears, and doesn’t do a darn thing for me!

I’m another one who has never shopped at Sephora, so I don’t have a favorite to share. I could lie and throw out a brand, but I won’t.

I love Bare Minerals. It covers flaws so well. I hate lip venom. I don’t see a big difference in my lips and it causes them to tingle funny.

For me I would like to use it for mineral makeup. I am going to try to give Sephora another try. Basically my dermatologist told me I have to have a specific kind of makeup and Bare Minerals was highly recommended, so I would absolutely love to get that at Sephora. I am new to using the Bare Escentuals line and overall I am impressed with most of it. I am unhappy with the packaging…the containers that the powders come in are not very travel friendly …they are like little shakers and when you arrive at your destination there is more powder outside of the shaker portion than in. It drives me crazy. As for a product I hate…that would be mascara…I hate having to work to take it off and then having it leave black streaks on my towels when I have failed to successfully remove it all.

Well, I love the Spring Fling lipgloss from Lancome. I tried the Nars Multiple Orgasm…and was really excited, but it was a little too pink for me. I think I would like to try the Vitamin C serum next!

Sephora products (all of them!) are products I LOVE because they are my granddaughter’s FAVORITEs! A product I hate is Camera Ready, a spritz-on product to make hair shine. Trouble is, it also makes hair stink!

I have a tie for my fave’s being Bare Escentuals MakeUp and Philosophy Bath gel. I think Philosophy’s bottles are the coolest and love to read their little inspiration messages on them. Now for what I don’t like…hmmm…I know it sounds snobby but I can’t stand generic bath things from certain “everything you need” stores. I am a brand name person when it comes to my bath products and make up. I absolutely love Sephora because they have both of my fave’s plus much more so please sing me up!! I’m heading to NY in May and would love to detour to the store to shop!
I absolutely love CARGO OneBase. I can use it to cover up any splotches, but it blends so well that I don’t have to cover my entire face with it. It’s my most frequent Sephora purchase

One thing I love is the Neutragena Norweigan Hand Cream. It really does wonders to dry hands. Hmm. As for one thing I love to hate… hair spray… It really does its thing but I hate how stiff it makes your hair. lol
Right now I love Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm (with pomegranate oil). I’ve tried so much, from Lipsmackers to Bath and Bodyworks, all the way to Ulta, where I finally wound up with the Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lipbalm. I actually like the replenishing better. It seems to moisturize better and I like the spicy smell, so different from anything I’ve had before.
I hate L’Oreal Color Pulse in Electric Black, because despite the name (and the color patch on the box) it turned my hair purple- a rich, deep plum. Thank god it washs out.
Thanks for your great blog, I have been following it and wanting to try some of the products that you suggest! A new product that I am about to hopefully love is Aveeno Moisturizer with SPF15. This is for the whole body, not just the face. I live in Florida and am constantly in the sun, so I hope this one works well, without having to be covered in smelly sunscreen. I’ll let you know!

Love water. I go to a yearly women’s convention. Olay used to be there. They had these awful machines, awful because they magnified your skin under lights that showed the sun damage you had already done. It meseared different aspects of your face skin. The next year i redid this test after using the Olay nd it had a dramatic improvement. WOW I was impressed. They did NOT have me in there from last year.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that Sephora is my ultimate favorite store in the whole world! Unfortunately, we don’t have one here in Louisiana so I stock up when I visit family in NYC or friends in DC. I love Dior “DiorShow” Mascara! It makes my eyelashes unbelievable long and thick. Definitely sexy!

I have just recently discoverd mineral make-up and love it. I am currently using Mary Kay, but I know there are tons of other brands out there. As far as a product I don’t like, well, now that I have tried mineral makeup, I don’t think I could ever go back to regular liquid foundation again. I really don’t like how it feels at all, after trying the alternative.

A beauty product I love (not exactly sure if this counts, but…), is any coconut or citrus smelling body wash. A product I love to hate, is mascara (I dont buy waterproof because I heard that was bad, but my mascara always smears during the day- ugh!). It’s been said, but I’m a BareMinerals girl. I’ve never in my life worn foundation/concealer on a regular basis – too pancake-y looky, too dry, too orange – but since I found this line, I wear it every day without fail.

The one beauty product that I love is Mary Kay’s Velocity Face Wash — It comes out of the tube in just the right amount, the scent is pleasant, it has those little microbeads so you feel like your cleaning off all that dirt and dead skin, and it’s affordable.
The one beauty product that I can live without honestly is the Shick Intuition Razors — what’s that all about a huge soap stick around a razor, man I want to get close to my skin when I shave, and they’re awkward and bulky, and well you get the idea, I just don’t like them.
After reading your review I picked up some Cover Girl LashBlast Mascara~~~I’m in love..mascara is my usual love to hate product, but after using LashBlast…oh my~~Thank you so much for that recommendation. Other products I love: Mary Kay 3-in-1 facial cleanser, Eucerin daily moisturizing lotion.
My new love to hate product: chapstick…could there be a chapstick out there that actually moisturizes my lips. I live in the frozen tundra of northern Michigan. I swear its dry and cold here 70% of the year and I’ve yet to find a chapstick that works. I have tried many and found none 🙁

I love all the makeup by NVEY ECO. It is so hard to find good organic makeup.
Love: Kerastase shampoo, conditioner, and serum. They smell good, don’t over-clean the hair (no squeaking), and the bottles last forever.
Bonus! I also love dry shampoo.
Hate: concealer. It’s something necessary that I cannot master, thus reminding me of Geometry. I hate Geometry, too.
I don’t use too many beauty products. One I hate using but feel is necessary is body lotion. I hate the feel of putting it on and the time it takes. I just bought my first mascara, Neutrogena black tint, and hope I won’t look like a drag queen in it the way I always do when I’m made up for weddings.
I love Dior DiorShow mascara – hate Cover Girl Lash Blast. And I really love Sephora!
I am a sucker for anything Burt’s Bees, I confess. I believe that I use their stuff, I will become naturally beautiful. That’s how it works, right? As for hating, well, I just read that post about the lip plumpers, and it totally cracked me up, but I think the idea of them is pretty horrible. I also get pissy thinking about stupid “no stretch marks” cream they sell to us pregnant ladies. I have so many stretch marks that explorers are still making maps of my abdomen as they discover new ones. Do the creams work? Um…no.

I love Kiehl’s lip balm and Ahava hand cream. I hate picking out lipstick as I never seem to find the right shade for myself. I usually just end up using clear gloss.

I’ve always heard great things about sephora but never ventured from my drug store brands since having kids 10 years ago! I just can’t do it, but it’s time I spiced it up a bit!
I love the Obagi C-RX sunscreen. It’s recommended by the Skin Cancer Institute and it is just awesome! I love the way it feels on, its hydrating, and it just works awesome.
I hate La Mer. Call me crazy, but I forked out a ton of money on the creme and I found out the main ingredient is petroleum. Um…I could just lather vaseline on my face for $2! At any rate, it just didn’t work for me.

I love Urban Decay’s Lip Gunk. It smells and tastes awesome, and stays on better than most lip glosses I’ve tried, and I love the names of the colors (Buzzkill is my favorite).
I love to hate most mascaras. They make my eyes look gorgeous, until they get blood shot from the irritation. My contacts particularly hate them.

For my older and acne prone skin I have discovered Tanda! A little spendy but it works just like it says.
And now that I have my acne under control I can now use Anti-aging products. I love Aveeno Positivley Radiant…another wonderful product that works!

Here’s what I love: Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara. Worth the $15 every time.
Here’s what I hate: anything that stinks, and IMO most creams & lotions stink. I’m allergic to anything with any sort of floral undertone and many artificial fragrances (even ones that are *supposed* to smell like food). It’s hard to find truly unscented products (or a fragrance that won’t make me sneeze).

I love Covergirl Lash Blast mascara. Its cheap and it works well! HATE a flat iron. My hair looks ridiculous when I use it.

I Love Olay Regenerist Moisturizer. It’s not greasy, and it has really improved the condition of my skin. I hate mascara! I only use it when I have to really dress up. I have allergies, and my eyes tend to tear up often, so mascara – even waterproof – gets messy and makes my eyes itch.
I got two Sephora boxes in the mail this week… thought it was Christmas!
My favorite is Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer. Makes everything all smooth and satiny.
I hate eyeliner… I mean, come on. It’s so labor-intensive.
I love my MAC eyeliner and hate my cheap CVS eyeshadow!
I love Olay’s in shower moisturizer. Even in the winter time, if I use this product every day, I don’t have to use lotion very often. Great stuff. It is getting harder to find, though, so I wonder if P & G is going to discontinue it. That has happened with a couple of their products that we used to buy.
I love Patricia Wexler Face Brightening Moisturizer.My face has a healthy glow when I use it. I love most L’Oreal products but I hate their Infallible Lipcolour.It does stay on a long time but it’s dry and I keep having to reapply the gloss that comes with it.
I love Avon eyeliners and Jillian Dempsey blush.I hate all Avon perfume!
I love Bare Escentuals mineral foundations and blush.I hate eyelash curlers–I’ve never mastered using one.
I love Cosmedicine Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion from SEPHORA.It’s great for my oily skin. I hate a lipstick I just bought from Cover Girl only because I can never pick the right shade of pink!
I’ll start with the hate: All mascaras, none of them work for me.
I do love the Moonlight Path line from Bath and Body. It smells so good.

I Love Mary Kay’s mascara in the silver tube, it does wonders for my eyelashes. I have been using it for about 6 months now. I was a previous Maybelline mascara junkie-you know the pink tube. But I will never go back now!
I also used Bare Minerals for years but have just found the E.L.F. line carries a mineral line that works just the same and only costs $5 a container!!! Wahoo!
I loooove my straightening iron. For some reason, after high school, my hair got wavy. Then curly. Then wavy again. And now..well, I don’t think it can decide. And my lovely straightening iron has helped me and my hair through this crazy time!
I don’t really have any products I hate, I don’t think…oh wait yes I do! Any lipstick that is ‘long lasting’. It dries my lips out something terrible, and I’m only 24, but it makes my lips look like my Grandmother’s! (Sorry Mama!)

I’m with all the others that love their bareMinerals. With sensitive, combination skin this is the first and only foundation I’ve tried that doesn’t make my face break out and Honey loves the way it looks so natural on me.
The product I love to hate is mascara. Most of them either smudge or flake off during the day leaving me with charcoal stuff all around my eyes or they are so waterproof that I can’t get the stuff off. But my go-to-one-minute-face is mascara and lip gloss. Just those two items and I look a little more put together.
I love Philosophy products and Dirt hair paste by Jonathan. I hate lip plumpers. They sting!
Yipee! A chance to win anything to/from Sephora is the greatest. A new love for me is the Stila Hair Refresher. I just bought it from Sephora last week and I can’t say enough about it! As for hate, it’s the Chi hair straightener. I guess it’s more of a love-hate relationship since it works.
I love MAC eyeshadows and brushes. I love Clinique Superfit concealer and their mascara. I love to hate my expensive hair products… Paul Mitchel hairspray, Redkin shampoo and conditioner. I hate that for anything decent, you must pay an arm and a leg.
I couldn’t just pick one product I love so I have to tell you about both of them. I cannot live without my Bumble and Bumble styling wax and my Burt’s Bees wax lip balm. LOVE THEM!!!!
The product I’m not loving right now is Bumble and Bumble’s styling cream. Atleast in CA they had to change their ingredients because they say the product is eco friendly/organic?, but CA felt there was too much alcohol in it and made them change the ingredients. Needless to say, the product does not work the way it use to. It’s like putting extra water in your hair, not a styling/hold product. Yuck!!!

I have to be perfectly honest. I really don’t know much about beauty products. I am a stay at home mom of 4 great kids, 3 boys and 1 girl (ages range from 5 months to 6 years). I us Aussie shampoo and that works great. I don’t wear much makeup but I do soooo want to take my hubby out on a date and some new makeup would be great!!! I’ve heard of Sephora before but never tried any of their products. Please consider me!!!

I love the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioners. They smell great, and you can tell right away when you use the shampoo that it’s going to leave your hair nice and soft. I hate when I use a shampoo and it leaves my hair so dry I have to use three times the amount of conditioner I’m supposed to use.
Um…something I don’t like. Hmmm…
I don’t like Clairol Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners because of their stupid commercials (they’re insulting) and they have WAY too much scent in them.

I love Urban Decay’s Lip Venom and Tarte’s cheek stains. I love to hate Hard Candy’s nail polishes because even though they’re supersparkly they chip in literally ten minutes. Nine bucks for a chipfest is not my idea of a good time.
Love to try the Lip Venom…sounds dangerously delightful.
Ok, I cannot live without my Bobbi brown cream corrector and concealer. Love it! I also cannot live without the Bobbi Brown eye cream. I still use Mary Kay facial moisturizer. My sister is a licensed esthetician and make-up artist and she uses it from time to time too.

I really haven’t committed to any one product and for that matter keep trying different ones, I just need something for wrinkles, age spots, blotches, bad hair and you name it I got it. I have never tried Sephora so would love to add it to my list, it just might work the best.
I’m a Sephora fanatic! My favorite product is Urban Decay’s primer potion–that stuff is absolutely amazing! I’ve yet to find a beauty product I really hate, but I’m not a huge fan of the mineral makeup trend–maybe I have weird skin, but none of it seems to work for me.
I love Burt’s Bees body wash. Smells so good and is so gentle. I Love to Hate Dove Bodywash–NO it is NOT better than ice cream. Sorry!
I love Idealist by Estee Lauder. Makes my skin feel like silk. I am not loving my Arbonne face lotion. It isn’t doing it for me.

Not sure what my favorites are, I went years being faithful to some products, eventually they changed or I did!
I love Neutrogena foundations and Oil of Olay moisturizer, Clinique lipstick and Neutrogena lipstick, Revlon nail polish.
There is really nothing I hate that I can think of, but I have sensitive skin so I prefer fragrance free and sensitive skin formulas if available.

I like things simple. I love 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner.
Hmm, don’t know if others would consider this a beauty product, but I really enjoy Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15. I can’t really think of a beauty product that I love to hate.
Once I bought this Revlon creme eye shadow and it BURNED my freaking eyelids! I felt like my eyes were on fire for like 2 minutes. It looked really good though… so I kept using it and I’d sit there screaming inside my head while my eyes felt like the firey depths of… something firey. I’m surprised it didn’t make me blind. God I was a stupid teenager.
I have been sold on this site ever since you told me how to apply my liquid eyeliner! I use it every day now and I don’t have to keep washing off my mistakes anymore.

Man, I am not sure I can narrow this down. I primarily purchase from small businesses not big box retailers. So, my favorite new product is a 3-in-1 Shampoo, bubble bath, shower gel from Pacific Scents scented in Coconut Cupcakes.
Larger company? Probably some things from Burt’s Bees. Their coconut foot goo (not sure the real name) is a goddess send in the summer.

bare escentuals makeup is my favorite! I use it everyday! I think that mascara is a little over-rated, it always clumps and gets in my eyes!

I love Time Balm Concealer from theBalm. I hate Revlon lip products because they have an icky taste/scent. However, I am currently in the process of switching to all natural beauty products, so everything’s up in the air regarding most of the beauty products I currently use.
