Darla is a work-at-home mom who spends her days "silver power
selling" on ebay and doing accounting work. She is also very active in
her 11 year old’s life and holding down the homefront when her Chief of
Police husband is working his long shifts. Darla enjoys decorating (in
a lazy kinda way), organizing cooking, blogging and shopping for
Coldwater Creek clothing sales.
Darla also gets her "highs" from a great bargain, and although she
lives in the middle of nowhere (where Target is 2 hours away and CVS is
like a plane ride away), she takes full advantage of the new Walgreens
and coupons bought online. She writes almost daily at her new
blog, Beauty Inside and Out.
When it comes to my nails, I am a lazy one. Because my hands are always
in water (clean freak) and get mistreated during my hot glue gun
projects, normal nail polish just does not stay on.
As I was sitting
in my doctor’s office one day waiting for an appointment, there was a magazine advertising Sally Hansen’s Natural Shine Instant Nail Finish that disappears and doesn’t chip. I
immediately wrote down the name and started scouting around for it. It
took two full weeks after that for it to reach the stores around here.
It’s THAT brand new.
Here’s what Sally Hansen has to say:
- Easy brush-on formula delivers a healthy, radiant finish that enhances the beauty of natural nails.
- Dries instantly to a soft shine – no buffing required.
- Portable purse size is perfect for mini-manicures on the go!
- With Vitamins and Minerals to strengthen and deeply moisturize for more resilient nails.
- Wears away slowly – remove with nail polish remover.
- Salon Tested – Dermatologist Tested.
Special Ingredients:
Vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Sea Minerals with Calcium and Magnesium
help strengthen and nourish natural nails while Anti-Oxidant White Tea
Extract moisturizes dry, dull nails.
I
came right home and applied it. At first it left something that looked
like a lump of pink on a couple of my nails, BUT it dried perfectly
clear. It doesn’t chip off (it slowly disappears) unless of course you
put so many layers on that nuttin is gonna disappear from those nails
(LOL).
It comes in two shades (light pink and clear). I chose light
pink but it’s really really light cuz I haven’t seen much pink yet. So
if you are looking for a lot of color, this isn’t the product for you. But if you like your hands to look like “you tried” without any effort,
this is the polish for you!!!

I bought this last week and applied it last night for the first time. It definitely gives a nice boost to the natural nail, but it’s not as glossy as a clear polish. I like it! I love the no chip part.
No Chip! I must seek this out!
You sold me, Darla! I’m going to get some of this. I’ve never been disappointed in a Sally Hansen product.
I’ll put this on the list for my first visit.
Have an Avon product in my cart that is around 3$. How much is this stuff ?
Cool Cindy let me know what you think!
Jackie – somewhere between $5-6.
Jennifer – yes definitely. I haven’t had a chip yet, not have I used any remover to take it off.
This sounds like a product I would actually use. My hands are in water or garden soil too much to use regular polish. Thanks!
