Like most women, I love a good
pedicure. However, finding the time and the bucks to go to the nail
salon is a rare event in my life. With five kids, I’m lucky to still
be standing at the end of the day. So I do my own nails. I have tried
many different brands in my years of at-home toe primping. I have a
favorite that I rarely put aside for another brand. Now, I know that
the trend these days is a natural toe, with no color. I refuse to cave
to the trend though. I’m all about the color. So what do I use?
Revlon.
It is the main brand in my bowl of nail polish. I have found that
Revlon nail polish holds up well over time. It does not get all lumpy
and thick in the bottle. The brushes don’t usually lose their bristles
(hate having to mess up a good paint job removing stray bristles).
Most importantly, the polish goes on smooth and stays there. Of course I
use a top coat, but even without it, Revlon does not chip all that
easily.
This picture of my toes was taken Tuesday, but the toes were
painted three weeks ago! I wear sandals every day, and running shoes
when I work out, and the polish just stays where it belongs. A bottle
of greatness can be had for under four dollars most of the time.
My
one complaint is that their color selection is not as wide as some
brands, but since I tend to stick to pinks and reds it is not an issue
for me. So if you are looking for some good nail polish when you are
at the grocery store, give Revlon a try.

I totally agree! I often use Revlon nail polish and it goes on and stays on very well.
Cute toes. The trend is not a natural though… Brights are in!
I totally agree, I think Revlon is great. (too bad they seem to be having some decline in their business. I don’t want to see that!)
A question… do they still have their ColorStay kind or are you talking about all their kinds of nail polish? Just curious.
Good suggestion. I usually buy Opi but it’s more expensive. I’ll try Revlon and hope my toes look as cute as yours.
I have a friend who attends the same baseball games (for our boys) as I do and she swears by Revlon. It stays on even better than the OPI I bought.
Yes, they still make ColorStay…love it!
