I Tried It Tuesdays – Now Why Didn’t WE Think of This?

The lovely and apparently quite cerebral Jennifer of Snapshot contacted Jo-Lynne last weekend with a neat idea that we love and know you will too!   We’re calling it, for now, at least until it gets really rich and famous and decides to go by one name like Ellen, or Cher, or Madonna, I Tried It Tuesday. 

Has a nice ring to it, huh?  Oh, yeah, this baby’s goin’ places, y’all.

Jennifer brought up the very valid point that HEY Y’ALL?  Guess what?  We’re actually goin’ out and buying and testing out these products you’re reviewing! Which was exciting to hear.  And even encouraging!  Occasionally a reader does leave a quick note in the comments of the original posts saying that she’s taken our little recommendation out for a spin herself and found it lived up to our glowing reports, but wouldn’t it be nice for you to get to do a quick follow-up post on your own blog, and link it back here, so we’re all sharing our thoughts and opinions on a regular basis and really working together to find the best products out there?

Yes!  See, we knew you’d be on board with this one.

So here’s how we’ll do this. 

On the first Tuesday of every month, starting Tuesday, July 2, we’ll host the Chic Critique I Tried It Tuesday Party here on the Chic Critique home page.  We’ll invite our old pal and bloggy emcee Mr. Linky to come over for the day and organize the festivities.  And we’ll invite YOU to write a short post on your blog or a short comment in the comments, talking about your own experience in trying out a product we’ve reviewed on the site. 

In your I Tried It Tuesday post, you just include the name of the product, a link back to our original review post of the product, and your thoughts on the product based on your own recent experience.  Then link the URL from that specific post (not your home page) via the Mr. Linky we’ll have up for you, and he’ll send us all out to read what YOU thought of some of the very products we’ve discussed here.  It’s your chance to help US put our money where our mouth is/was.  Or where our eyes, nose, cheeks, hair or skin is/was,  as the case may be.  You get the picture.
