Tweezer Hijinks Notwithstanding, He is Really Easy to Share a Bathroom With, Most of the Time

Now here’s a handy dandy little gadget!

I get into these little moods sometimes where I’m very! focused! on! efficiency! and it goes as far as me gettin’ a little steamed up (read: real hoppin’ mad) when the rest of the world can’t get on board the DO IT NOW train with me.  I’ve been in one of those moods for the past week or so, maybe on account of there’s this baby on the way and God made woman so that in the final weeks of pregnancy every unfinished project, every unaddressed issue, every unwashed window, unscrubbed floor or unfolded onesie would become as many thorns in her side, and would stand in front of her and waggle its fingers and stick out its tongue at her until she was driven to the very brink of insanity, so I am keen to sniff out the quickest, easiest way to GET IT ALL DONE IMMEDIATELY.  On my last Saturday trot through the Walgreen’s, this crazy-sensitive nose of mine sniffed out the latest in sheer eyebrow efficiency genius, a little combination tool/product by L’Oreal ® called the Brow Stylist™.

Now I told y’all back when I blogged my face that I’d been using, and was relatively satisfied with, a darkish brown eyeshadow as an eyebrow filler-outer, and nobody raised any red flags or objections.  But man, the scrounging around in the make-up bag for the tweezers, then the brow color, then the brush, were not meeting my standards for efficiency, and besides that, my tweezers have disappeared at a rate of at least one pair a year since I got married, and this year’s Tweezer Heist has just recently been perpetrated.  Not that I’m pointing any fingers or anything.  StickyFingers Al.

Hence I was actually in the market, this trip, for some new tweezers, perhaps pink or sparkly tweezers so as to repel any sticky little man-fingers, but instead I found this L’Oreal ® Brow Sylist™, which is way better than pink or sparkly.  It’s SNEAKY!  This one innocent-looking little eyebrow pencil — and a nice, smooth, easy-to-apply eyebrow pencil at that — has made so much more of itself, because tucked into its tail end is a pair of somewhat smallish but still quite functional tweezers!  Hiding!  Where no one would ever suspect to find such a thing as tweezers!  BRILLIANT!  And on the lid to the pencil end, there’s, again, a small but still quite usable eyebrow shaping/grooming brush.

What we have here, people, are, in one clever little tool, *hidden* tweezers to shape, a pencil to fill in, and a brush to smooth and straighten.  BING, BANG, BOOM, BABY.  When it’s time for the brows in your make-up routine, you dig around and locate just one little pencil, and with it, you tick three things off your facial to-do list.

Really, people.  That’s just efficiency genius.

But we’ll just keep that tweezer thing between us girls, okay?

  1. That picture up there, while not exactly the product I’m describing in the post, will give you some idea of what this gadget and its packaging look like in the store. Thanks Jo-Lynne!

  2. What a neat concept. I am hooked on my tweezerman tweezers, which I paid far too much for – but they work great.
PS – I won’t tell Al about your little secret!

  3. Wow! I hadn’t heard of this. My brows are sooo busy. I don’t need any kind of filler so a pencil is moot for me but it’s a good idea. I use the Tweezerman tweezers too.

  4. I use eye shadow to darken my brows too. I just might have to be on the lookout for this. But I have to confess, I bought hubby his OWN tweezers to solve that “borrowing”problem at my house, the older he gets the more he has wayward eyebrow hairs that grow about 2 inches long!! (don’t tell him I told that). He likes to be well groomed too!
