In my post about Olay facial cleansing cloths, I talked about using DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil before using the cloths. This is not necessary, but it’s just something I like and works for me.
In fact, both of these products are meant to be used as a one-step process, but I like to use both since I am prone to acne if I don’t get every bit of makeup off my face.
Use dry hands (this is the key — no water yet) to massage 1–2 squirts onto dry face to dissolve dirt, makeup, etc. Rinse with warm water (I actually use a dry cloth, such as a heavy non-fragranced kleenex). Do not add water to this product until ready to rinse off (this is where I swipe my face with the Olay cleansing cloths).
This product will remove even waterproof mascara, leaving your face a grime-free zone that is soft to the touch and does not clog your pores. Its unique water-soluble formula rinses completely, so you’ll never see a greasy residue. Olive oil and vitamin E help ensure you won’t see dryness either.

That looks great! I’ll have to get some. I am trying the Target brand facial wipes but they don’t seem as good as the Sephora ones I used to use – just economical. If I used them with this oil then I might not need the lotion afterward. What do you think? Someone mentioned to me where you can get Olay coupons. Was that you?
Based on your earlier post, I picked up some of the Olay Cloths (the pre-moistened ones) for the hospital. They have been SOOOOO handy, especially since returning home with a new baby! 🙂
Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation!
Hi Sarah,
That may work and my guess is you won’t have to use lotion afterward if you have oil-ish skin.
Oh yes, there are tons of Olay coupons to be had. In almost every Sunday paper there is at least one Olay coupon.
i love love love dhc’s skin cleansing oil!! it’s so gentle and so thorough…i’ve got oily skin myself, and if anyone with oily skin is concerned about putting another oil on your face, even though it seems counterintuitive, it’s really really wonderful…the oil actually balances out your skin, at least from what i’ve found… 🙂
Elle, I could not agree more! Do you not just LOVE all their products! There’s really very few “not good” ones!
Hi Darla! (I’m so used to seeing you over at Blissfully Domestic that I was surprised to stumble on you here!) 🙂
I’m glad you posted about DHC because their products are amazing! I have been using the entire line for about 4 1/2 years now and my skin has never looked better. Even the skin care technician at the salon where I get facials every so often told me that my skin looks “beautiful” and asked what products I used! And now my mom is using the product line as well! 🙂
Hi Carina,
I know, I’m here, I’m there, I’m everywhere. LOL!
Thanks for confirming that about DHC. It really is a FAB product! It’s spendy but it last a LONG time!
Yes, yes, yes! I love this stuff. I spend way too much money (but it’s worth every penny) at DHC. The Virgin Olive Oil and the Blotting Lotion are to die for.
Ree – I will have to try those!
