The beauty trends for Fall 2008 are being revealed, and I thought it would be fun to get your thoughts on whether they are hot or not. After all, the trends and looks that are hot on the runway may not work for those of us living in the real world.
My hope is that in getting your opinion on the latest beauty trends, we can separate the fabulous from the frightening and be fashionable this fall without any regrets when we page through the photo album next fall.
One of the more subtle trends coming around this fall is the gray/silver eye palette. The smoky gray eye is being touted as the new black. The new shimmery gray shadows are supposed to be easy to blend making the look more fool-proof than the traditional smoky eye. With just a little extra blending gray can easily transition from day to night.

Funny this should come up. I just bought the gray/silver color eye shadows yesterday! I haven’t had a chance to try them yet, but I’m excited to know that I’ll be on the cutting edge this fall!
I’ve worn gray eyeshadow before, and it’s nice for nighttime. I’m glad to see it come back. I don’t love that completely silver look though!
I am not fond of the all silver look either. But my daytime eye look came out great! Even Honey likes it.

I am the worse when it comes to eye makeup. It looks great on some people, but I just can’t do it. Mascara is as far as I go with eye makeup. I guess it’s better than nothing.
