For the last few years I have been suffering from some hormonally-crazed bad skin. My skin breaks out more now than when I was going through puberty. WHAT is up with that?*****
I had been using other mineral makeup for a few years, and was happy with it. That is until I tried Sheer Cover. I watched an infomercial about how sheer cover miraculously covers up imperfect skin, and thought I would give it a shot. I received my kit in the mail, opened it, thought it didn’t look like much product was included, and basically forgot about it for a few months.
I started packing for a move and ran across the box. Well, ahoy my maties, there was an unclaimed treasure in my linen closet!! I gave it a shot, and I’ve never looked back.

My favorite product in the starter kit is the duo concealer. It covers up any blemishes and blotchiness and red marks, and those pesky dark circles under my eyes just seem to disappear.
When I first started using the duo concealer, I was using the tip of my ring finger to dot it on and apply. I have now discovered that a concealer brush does a much better job with a thinner application and better coverage.
I follow that with my sheer cover mineral powder foundation with SPF 15. It doesn’t look like there is much powder in the container, but it lasts me longer than my old mineral foundation that had twice as much powder in its container. I think it lasts so long because it is so sheer and doesn’t require much each time you apply it.
I then apply the sheer cover finishing powder. It really sets the concealer and foundation while still feeling sheer. It gives you a very evened-out look and that airbrushed look that everyone wants to achieve. If you have ever watched Leeza Gibbons on the informercial and wondered if it really works, I am here to tell you that it will cover what you want covered. On your face, that is. I can’t say I’ve tried it anywhere else.

How’d it look after a few hours? A girlfriend of mine looked gorgeous in the morning, but later on in the afternoon, it had settled in the fine lines and lost some coverage. She did like the concealer though. But thats just one person. I’m still debating on giving it a try.
I’ve been wondering about Sheer Cover — thanks for posting on it! I have sun damage (you know, those lovely, darker spots) on my face — do you think the Sheer Cover is able to cover that up?
I may have to give this a whirl. I’m such a skeptic. ~shakes head at self~
I have been wondering if this really works. I will have to give it a try. Thanks for the beauty info…
Great review! I’m always glad to learn about things like this. Thanks!! -Julia 🙂
