Drying off, I immediately grab for various moisturizers when I hop out of the shower. I choose non-fragrance lotion for my face and pretty much anything I have that smells good for the rest of my body. When Hawaiian Body Products sent me the wonderfully delicious smelling coffee chocolate Ola Hawaii body butter and scrub, my immediate thought was to prefer the combination be in a cup than on my skin but I kept an open mind.
The lotion had a delightful, somewhat strong smell, but I would recommend it more for living up to its tagline of "Exquisitely Intense Moisturizer with Pure Tropical Butters and Extracts." I was definitely more impressed with the luscious feel of my skin after applying the lotion than the smell itself. I mean, isn’t that the point of lotion anyway?
Ola Hawaii also sent a cane sugar scrub in the same flavoring so I could give you the whole coffee & chocolate-on-your-body rundown. Now, this product was the more interesting of the two in that it was not quite what I expected in the whole application of the product. I guess I was expecting a scrub to be something granular mixed with some sort of soap product to wash the skin and leave it feeling clean and ready to apply with lotion after the bath or shower. This scrub was nice but left me with an unexpected moisturizing residue, which probably came from the Lehua honey in it. It worked well on my legs and arm but made me wary of applying it to my feet so I wouldn’t slip in the shower. Also, with the coffee scrub, you have to make sure the coffee
gets washed down the drain since it does get on the shower walls when
washing off.
Overall, I think the coffee chocolate products make for a delicious experience any time of the day and would be lovely Christmas presents to the connoisseurs in the family. I wonder what’s next. Apple Martini? Merlot Spritzer? Tiramisu Brownie?
What would you name a new lotion based on your most decadent delights?

I bought a sample of loose tea the other day called ‘Monk’s Elixir,’ (lemon-and-lime flavoured green tea), steamed some milk, and made some chai with it. It made my whole apartment smell like a Buddhist monastery. I would wear unlimited amounts of body lotion or body butter if it smelled like that tea. 🙂
