Saving Face with Exfoliation & Moisturizing

I am not was not a big exfoliator, moisturizer, scrub type of person.  I usually stick to my basic product line and call it a day.  However, after experiencing Kimberly Sayer of London products my facial routine has taken a new path.

I have been using the Almond Lavender Face Scrub in the evenings to get rid of all the dirt, grime, grease, and other nastiness leftover from the the day.  This face scrub does it all from deep cleansing, to exfoliating, removing dead skin cells and leaving the skin clean, soft, and bright.  Its ingredients include a trio of organic exfoliating grains such as Almond Meal, Jojoba Beads, and Oat Beta Glucan along with Ugandan Shea Butter to soften the skin, and Lavender flower water to calm and refresh.

Let me tell you, it is like a spa in a glass dish!  I look forward to my nightly routine of gently massaging my face, while closing my eyes and breathing in the fresh scent.  I know it sounds cheesy, but you are just going to have to try it to see what I mean!  The great thing is that it is gentle and chemical free so it is suitable for all skin types.  ($26 for 2oz. jar)

Hydrating_maskAfter the scrub, I use the Hydrating Anti-Oxidant Facial Mask twice a week.  This is an anti-aging leave on treatment mask that tightens, firms, and hydrates the skin leaving it soft and supple.  Perfect for little ol’ me who turned *ahem* 30 this year!  I’m not even going to attempt list all the organic ingredients in this, but let’s just say there is a little bit of this and a little bit of that to firm, soften, hydrate, protect, soothe, enhance, and even alleviate stress!  It’s like every mom’s dream come true in a jar.  ($26 for 2oz. jar)

123ltmoisturizerFinally, in the mornings I have been using the Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer (SPF 25).  One thing with moisturizers that always make me nervous is how some of them can make your skin look and feel oily.  No thanks!  This moisturizer doesn’t do that.  It is truly lightweight and with its organic ingredients it’s easily absorbed so it doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts either.  Some of the natural ingredients found in the moisturizer includes, Squalene (derived from olives) to protect skin from dehydration and to purify and soothe acne prone skin, the Ugandan Shea Butter (my favorite ingredient) to soften skin, and Lemon oil to detoxify the sin and minimize production of oils, while also drying acne. I am definitely a moisturizer convert! ($32 for a 5 oz. Pump Bottle)

My first thought when I saw all the goodies from Kimberly Sayer was, "wow the packaging is so spa like, it looks very high end" (translation:pricey).  It is definitely not your "pick up at your local drug store" product, but let me tell you that Kimberly Sayer products are well worth every penny you will spend.  It honestly feels like having a facial at home.  Just have your hubby massage the products in and you will never know the difference!  Go ahead, treat yourself!!
