Get Your Glow On

This time of year means many things to me, holiday parties being one of them. It is so fun to get dressed up and feel pretty. My skin is pretty pasty right now, though. You can call me Casper if you would like.

I have a couple of occasions where I have to wear cocktail dresses during December. That means that I actually have to bare some of that pasty Casper skin. For this reason, I looked for a product that could help my body parts get a pretty glow. I’m not talking about your glittery bought it in the tween section at Bath and Body Works type of glittery glow. I reserve my big glitter for holiday crafts. I am talking about a really fine mineral powder by Bare Escentuals called Body Glimmer that will give your skin soft shimmery highlights. I despise pantyhose, so I like to add this to my legs to give them a tiny bit of glowing, shimmery color.

This product provides the look of bare skin while giving full coverage without the chemicals your skin doesn’t need. This is good for all skin tones, and it is free of preservatives, talc, oils, waxes, fragrance and other chemical irritants. My extra large powder came with an extra large kabuki brush, so I am able to dust the powder over my body very quickly. I like to use mine on my arms, legs and decollete. I love using the word decollete. It’s such a sassy word. Go get your glow on and have a fun holiday party season without forgetting the real reason for the season!!

  1. I heard that Bare Escentuals started using filler in their products. There’s a new line out that I just discovered (thanks to my esthetician), Colorscience Mineral Makeup. Supposedly the woman who was the formulator for Bare Escentuals went on to create this line when Bare Escentualsstarted using the fillers that are NOT good for our skin. Below is a quote pulled from a beauty product review website, as well as the link:

    http://www.mineral-makeup-reviews.com/Colorscience-mineral-makeup.html
“Colorscience Mineral Makeup is the brainchild of Diane Ranger who is actually credited with inventing the mineral makeup concept (she was the creator of Bare Escentual’s bareMinerals).”
