During the winter I like to change up my skincare routine to help combat the effects of the dry, harsh, seasonal air. Most of the products I use on my face remain the same but switching up the face mask for something a little more seasonally appropriate goes a long way to keeping my skin soft and glowing.
My favorite mask to use in the winter is a simple homemade yogurt and honey mask. All you need to do is mix 1 tablespoon of plain nonfat yogurt with 1 teaspoon of honey, spread it over your face and wait 15 minutes. Really. That’s it. Two ingredients and 15 minutes is all it takes. After washing my snack mask off with warm water the skin on my face feels so soft and smooth.
This yogurt and honey mask is beneficial for all skin types. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin. The lactic acid in the yogurt will soothe, soften and tighten aging skin and, face it, we’re all aging no matter how young we are. Honey is wonderful for dry skin but also has antibacterial properties which are perfect for combating minor acne.
As I said this simple and tasty recipe is good for pretty much anyone wanting softer, smoother skin.
Best of all if I get a little hungry I can just lick the bowl clean or swipe a little snack off my face. Well, maybe I’ll grab some extra yogurt from the fridge instead. I can always use a little extra calcium in my diet.

Now THAT’s my kind of beauty regimen – face mask and snack all in one! LL
I’m going to have to give this a try! –

Interesting…I hadn’t heard this one before. I am always wondering what homemade stuff I can use to get rid of the winter blahs!
Thanks!
I can’t believe how easy that is! Definitely worth a try!
I put the non fat yogurt on my grocery list today and am all set to try this! Thanks for sharing such a fun face mask that is cheap and easy. I always enjoy the homemade spa treatments and so does my bank account.
I’ve never heard of this before. These are two ingredients I have at home almost all of the time. I’m going to have to dry it.
It’s so nice to come visit the blogs from the Bloggy Carnival now that I have time to both read and comment.
