Bobbi Brown: Beauty Basics

Beautiful makeup tips in under two minutes to apply (w00t! Who doesn’t love that idea!!)

We all know Bobbi Brown is the queen of keeping it simple. She was on the Today Show recently and gave some “economic beauty tips”. Here are just a few things she recommends:

Try to choose products thare are 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 (such as a tinted moisturizer or a moisturizer with an SPF).

Make sure you have the proper concealer and foundation (she uses a cream concealer on the model-video posted below-which would not be for my skin type but I have learned that age my age {cough40cough} if I start with a concealer, I look less “made up” when I’m finished.

Use your eye cream and then start with concealer and follow up with a foundation.

Use a cheek color that doubles as a lipstick (now personally, this is not something I feel I could do for fear of a big fat zit on my cheek) but if you can get by with it, I think it’d be a great space saver in your makeup drawer and purse. Plus less products to buy in general

For eyes, use a pencil liner and really black mascara mascara (not everyone is a fan of black mascara but it’s what Bobbi recommends for this look).

Her video is less than 4 minutes long and worth a look!

  1. I love Bobbi Brown and her makeup philosophy. If you look at her, she never looks overly made-up. I have two of her books, and this video is fun. I do the eye cream under concealer and it really does help a lot!
