Oh goodness. Here I go again talking about something that is probably inappropriate for a blog. I do that sometimes. If I offend anyone, I am so sorry. I have to tell you about what I have discovered, though.
For years, I have read in beauty magazines about using hemorrhoid product around your eyes. My sister talked me into giving it a shot. Do you remember the days when you were too embarrassed to buy feminine products and you made your mother buy them for you? Well, it’s kinda the same. Swallow your pride, ladies. Put that butt ointment in the buggy and head to the register. Everything is bar coded now…no one is going to be calling out for a price check on the butt ointment over the loudspeaker. Anyway, I bought the generic version of the ointment, which saved me about $6.00 to $7.00. Don’t buy the cream…it needs to be the ointment.
I slathered that ointment under and around my eyes. Holy smokes batman!! I don’t really think I will question the butt ointment making people as to how, but it works!! My bags and fine lines looked smoothed out and the dark circles were improved. Eye product for $2.98? I love it!!
I have been using my ointment for a couple of weeks now. I use it under my makeup in the morning, and put it on at night before I go to bed. I don’t know if this will change the fine lines, bags or dark circles over time, but it does a temporary fix. Pretty good for a $2.98 tube that will last me months. Like I said before, swallow your pride ladies and go git ‘ya some!!

Leigh Ann I love your tips! I have heard this one before, but not really wanted to go out on that limb and actually purchase any, but “knowing” a real person that has used it and has found that it does indeed work makes a big difference. I will definitely try this one out!
Thanks girlie!

Word of caution:
That stuff is STRONG, to put it mildly. My best friend from high school tried it and applied a TINY amount. She almost ended up in the emergency room when her eyes almost became swollen shut. So be careful exactly where you apply it!
I have not had any swelling or redness. I don’t have extremely sensitive skin, though. I would definitely advise to be careful of getting any in your eyes, considering that it is typically meant to help ease the pain of hemorrhoids:) Be careful and do a little test under your eye to make sure that you don’t have any kind of reaction.
Man, it’s supposed to SHRINK tissue, not make it swell. Don’t put it in your eyes for heavens sake! Not even in your lashes! That is definitely the first time I’ve ever heard that!
I love that you call a shopping cart a buggy, it reminds me of my days in South Carolina. I love the tips, i guess I will have to try it.
Always wondered if this worked. And great word of caution too.
Thanks!
I wonder what it’d do for my thighs? Hee hee hee. Great tip. I could definitely use some firming up under my eyes these days. UGH.
Leigh Ann, don’t forget that it works on cold soars on the lips too. Neat product. Love the batman comment. You are too funny. I miss you greatly. Life is way too hectic. Take care and God Bless.
Love ya. Melanie
