…comes my love for the Schick ® Intuition Plus ® razor.

Here’s what their plug is:
The Schick ® Intuition Plus ® razor has three blades surrounded by a
Skin Conditioning Solid. It lathers, shaves and provides extra moisture in one easy step for a close, smooth shave.
Now, here’s my take. First off, I hate shaving. Detest it. Show me a woman that enjoys it, and I’ll show you one crazy cookie!
Recently I was sent one of the Schick ® Intuition Plus ® razors to test and I absolutely fell in love! This razor tackles every excuse I have for not shaving. No more can I say that it is too time consuming, or too much of a hassle; nor can I complain about the shaving cream rinsing off of my legs before I can get that spot shaved. Yup, this razor takes care of it all! No need for a separate shaving cream at all since the blades are surrounded by a moisturizing shaving bar (the blade adjusts to the height of the bar as you use it) and my legs definitely reaped the benefits of the extra moisturizer. It is just so convenient to quickly wet the razor and go over my legs and have found that I do so every time I shower now.
Of course, as with most things, there are always drawbacks and the Schick ® Intuition Plus ® razor is no exception. As far as I am concerned there are really only two. First, I have to say that they moisturizing bar doesn’t last near long enough and it goes down extremely fast in front of the blades. Being the thrifty person that I am, I continue using it once the front has gone down by turning it over and running the moisturizing bar that is left on the back across the spot I am going to shave and then flipping the razor back over to shave. I am all about squeezing every penny of my money out of a product. And that brings me to the biggest drawback, which is the cost. While the razor comes with one disposable head, it is priced at just under $9 and to me that’s not too awful bad. The kicker, however, is that the refill heads come in packs of 3 for over $10…ouch!

While I personally-being the thrifty woman that I am- think that is a bit too much, I have come to the conclusion that for me it is totally worth it!

I should give this a try – I’m one of those people that doesn’t have to shave as often so it might last a really long time for me.
You lucky, lucky girl! I am sure that it would indeed last you a while. I’d love to hear how you like it if you decide to give it a try.
I used to use the Intuition razors but like you I really didn’t like the way the “soap” (or whatever you wanna call it!) ran out so quickly. What I did to help them last a little longer was open all of them up upon buying them, and then keep them in one of my dresser drawers. Made the clothes smell nice, and gave the product some time to harden up a bit so it’d last longer.
These days though I use the Venus Breeze. It’s the same concept of the Intuition, but the “soap” is more of a solid gel, it lasts much longer and works just as well. It’s smaller and more flexible too though so it’s easier to get into curvy areas. Refills are insanely expensive though. We just can’t win that battle I guess.
Thanks Leah for the great tip! I will definitely try that one out. I appreciate the heads up about the Venus Breeze as well. I may have to buy that instead of refills next time I need them.
You’re right..we just can’t win that battle, *sighs*.
I’ve been meaning to try these!
Thanks for the info regarding this razor. I too am thrifty & wouldn’t have tried it because of the price. However, I might just treat myself, after reading your article…especially with “swimming weather” just around the corner here.
Jo-Lynne & Miss Julep,
I am glad that I could give you some insight on a product you have considered. I would love to know what you guys think if you do decide to try it out!
I didn’t like the way the soapy bar thing ran out in just a few shaves. But it is the perfect razor for traveling… all in one!
