I love eyes. Blue eyes, hazel eyes, green eyes, my man’s eyes… I just love eyes. Windows to the soul, and all that.
About a year ago, I felt like I was doing something all wrong with my eye makeup. It seemed like it was always disappearing, and it felt like white eye shadow (I know, the horror) was the only things that made my eyes feel sparkly and bright. Although I don’t know if brown eyes can ever be classified as sparkly and bright.
Anyways, one day I was at a Clinique counter when someone introduced me to the concept of undereye concealer. Since then, I have tried no less than 10 different types of undereye concealer, all with varying degrees of success. I liked the drugstore versions (hello, they were cheap!), but I eventually realized that I was going through them like water because they had such light coverage.
Enter this little beauty:

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer, $14.
I use this guy every single day. One tube has been known to last me upwards of six months, which is amazing because I am not shy about slathering it on.
If you can see in this before picture, I don’t have a horrible undereye circle problem. Rather, I just have dark skin around my eyes. It’s not bad, but it definitely makes me look unrested.

In this after picture, I have applied the concealer to the right eye only:

It’s a little bit hard to see the difference because of the weird lighting, but I think you can get this idea. I would try to retake the picture, but I am lying in bed waiting for the sun to rise in lovely Destin, Florida on spring break and I acquired a funny suntan/burn yesterday and I just don’t think you want to see all that.
In addition to making my eyes brighter, this concealer really helps set my eye makeup so it stays put all day long.
Do you have a specific concealer that you love? Let me know – I’d love to try it!

Looks good! You know, I never would have thought of it helping to set my eye makeup so it would stay put. I will have to try that.
Body shop has a great under eye concealer. It normally last me a while, has a great soft application brush built it.
Note: my circles are much darker then yours 🙂
I am in need of a new under eye concealer. Mine is three YEARS old. I KNOW! Bad beauty blog owner, lol. So I may give this a try.
