Beauty and Fashion Resources on Twitter

Hi! This is Melanie from Mel, A Dramatic Mommy and I’m so excited to be part of the Chic Critique family! I’m honored to be in the company of these fashion savvy women. When Jo-Lynne asked if I’d consider contributing I was tickled and flattered. I thought it would be a great opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and write somewhere fun.

Then I freaked a little because, really? What do I know? And where will I find the time?! And who cares what I have to say? But then I took a deep breath and realized Jo-Lynne wouldn’t have asked if she didn’t think I had something to contribute. So here I am!

Women of color often have unique issues and challenges when it comes to beauty, makeup, fashion and skincare. I hope you’ll find my perspective helpful. I’m a work in progress and an open book. If you’ve got questions for me, fire away and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Since I’m a little anal I decided to do some online research to get the ideas flowing. Naturally, I turned to my internet lover, Twitter, and was amazed (but not surprised!) at how many resources the site has. I thought for my first post here I’d keep it short and sweet and share some of the people and companies* I’ve started following whose Tweets have been really useful and informative. If you have any to add please leave them in the comments. I look forward to getting to know you all!
