The sound of lawnmowers and the smell of grass are definitely harbingers of spring around these parts. I take great pleasure in shaking off the winter tights and boots and exposing my legs and toes to the world. As I mentioned before I also like lightening the load of my make up bag!
One of my favorite Spring and Summer make up items is Stila’s Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15. I have to admit I resisted making the move to tinted moisturizer for years because I always felt that tinted moisturizer = naked face. So every morning I mixed up my own concoction of moisturizer and foundation and inevitably got the amount wrong which resulted in wasting expensive foundation. I was with a girlfriend (one of those women who makes looking good year round look effortless) when she had to pop in to replace her Stila tinted moisturizer. I was amazed that she used it because her skin always looked so even and glowy and I figured she was just one of those lucky cows! I didn’t need to be told twice so I grabbed a bottle and never looked back.
The coverage is sheer but it also completely covers my red areas (either side of my nose) and provides me with a light dewy finish. Its easy to apply (I’m lazy and just use my ring finger) and comes in ten different shades so its easy to match your skin tone. I love that it has SPF as well so I’m protected from those pesky wrinkle enducing rays. On days when I have to go from work straight out to a social engagement I do need to touch up the tinted moisturiser (which I usually don’t have to do with my foundation) but then the tinted moisturiser doesn’t tend to melt off my face like foundation does in the heat. I want to look dewy and fresh not melted and passed it!
So now the sun’s showing off its lovely face its time to grab some tinted moisturiser and show off your best spring face!
