The Benefit of Benetint

I find that as Spring hits and the temperatures rise I want to wear less make up along with less clothes. I switch to tinted moisturiser instead of foundation and I’ve often had an issue with powder blushes either being too overpowering or sitting funny on my skin. Enter Benetint by Benefit. This is a very lightweight, sheer, water-proof and kiss-proof cheek and lip stain. You simply use the nail-polish like brush to apply three small stripes across the apple of your cheeks and then blend using your ring finger. Voila! Soft, fluttery rosy cheeks that look healthy but not over-done.

Benetint can also be used on your lips as a lip stain but I find the colour a bit too much for me (but then I’m Pale-y McPalerson from Palesville, Palesylvania!) A couple of my girlfriends who have slightly darker complexions use it and it looks great. It also looks incredible on black skin.

Oh and a quick tip – do not apply the three lines to your cheek and then run to answer the phone forgetting what you started! Not a good look!

  1. Ohh I have always wanted to try this but have been too chicken. It just seems so permanent.

May have to head to Sephora tomorrow to try it out…

  2. HEH. Good advice, there at the end! 🙂 I’ve never tried a cheek stain. Might have to take a look at that.

  3. I’ve used this one for years and love it. And I’m achingly pale, but I use it on my lips, too. Just put a couple small dots on the bottom lip and then immediately smoosh your lips together. Just a hint of a flush. I hate to sound like an ad, but kinda like you’ve just been kissed.
