If you’ve been following Chic-Critique for any amount of time, you know I’ve bragged and bragged about Everyday Minerals Foundation for months now because it’s bismuth-free (an ingredient a lot of people are allergic to including myself).
Either I’ve been completely oblivious (which is probably the case) or they just brought out a new line of minerals in the pressed formula. Either way, I tried it and I’m HOOKED!
I was nervous (as I always am when trying new/different foundations) but once again Everyday Minerals came through with flying colors.
I love, love, LOVE the coverage. It’s soft smooth and it covers well without looking heavy (I use the original glo formula). Not only that, it’s not MESSY (for those of you who avoid minerals due to powder mess, you will LOVE this). Here’s what the web-site says about the pressed base:
The smooth texture of this pure foundation applies beautifully for a flawlessly healthy look every time.
That pretty much sums it up!!
The only thing I was not thrilled with was the packaging (the foundation itself is only $12, so no complaints there). It came in a cardboard like container (that was coated, so it’s durable and should be able to toss in your purse). I don’t see where they sell a compact for this to fit into, which just proves that their products are always about function and they score high every time on that end, for sure!!
P.S. if you DO see a compact, please do tell, asap. 😀

Cardboard? What in the world?! I love mineral powder but I do think I’d love the pressed version even more. I’ll have to try it…
NOTE TO SELF: Try mineral powder.
I love EM, and use it for everything! (Although I haven’t used their pressed powder since they don’t have it in my shade.) But I have good news for you! Their pressed powder compacts are due out on May 15th. 🙂 They are switching to these adorable plastic compacts with a mirror and little puff spong-thing. No one is quite sure about how they will work the “refill factor”, but all of us “EM fans” are waiting eagerly to see them!
I LOVE Everyday Minerals!! I have been using it for several years now. I am going to have to try this new pressed formula! It would be great for touch-ups and for the purse. I agree that the loose powder is messy, But, I have gotten so many complements on my skin-and at 40 thats feels great!
