A friend of mine passed along a sampling of the new Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara.
I am not one that normally curls my eyelashes. For some reason, it seems to make mine look shorter so I just skip this part of the beauty routine. Or it could just be laziness. I’m gonna just go with the first reason, though.
I guess I never knew what I was missing.
This mascara really seemed to lift my eyelashes up and separate them. Much like a curler would do. It lifts, separates and wears ALL DAY LONG. Without smudging.
That’s the good part.
I just have one little bitty complaint – it’s kind of hard to get off.
It absolutely does not come off with eye makeup remover. My friend told me to just use warm water and face soap and that actually is the only way it comes off. It seems to almost peel off like paint.
All in all – I like this mascara or “eyelash paint” as I like to call it.
It was written up in Glamour this month as one of the best on the market for high impact eyelashes.
You can buy this at your local department store or online for about $14.

Love, love, love the High Impact Mascara…didn’t know they know have a curling one…I’ll definitely try it when I run out of my current tube.
I love Clinique’s Lash-Doubling Mascara – my absolute favourite, I have those eyelashes that are long enough but really fine. But again with the grief getting it off! It’s not waterproof, but it takes a lot to get it off. I usually end up losing a half-dozen lashes when I use it, so it’s just my special-event mascara for now.
Now that I remember, I have to scour the Chic Critique archives for a good eye-makeup remover…
I’ve had great luck removing Clinique High Impact Mascara with baby oil.
Interesting! I’ve been curling my eyelashes lately, but it doesn’t seem to do much. I’d give this a try except I’m not sure I want the hassle of removing it. Plus, for $6, it’s hard to beat Cover Girl’s Lash Blast. 🙂
