Silky Underwear & VS Pink

One of my FAVORITE things to do is put powder on after my shower. Not just any powder, but soft, silky and deliciously aromatic powder. My shower is not complete unless I “powder up”.

I know there’s been a lot of worry over using talc powder, so I was so excited last year when I discovered Silky Underwear Dusting Powder by Lush. {yes, I’m a Lush lover} This is THE sexiest dusting powder of all time!

The scent is a scintillating combination of Jasmine and Cocoa Butter that gently moisturizes your skin. The packaging is simple and the price can’t be beat at $11.25 for a 3.5oz canister.

I have a few tricks to share about using Lush’s Silky Underwear.

Many people complain about the opening on the container. Too much powder comes out too fast. But if you cautiously position the lid so only a few holes are open, like in my picture, then only a little powder will come out. When I’m finished with it, I make sure none of the openings are exposed and I shake out what little may be stuck on top. – NO PROBLEMO!

My next tip is to layer this powder. As heavenly as the scent is, it doesn’t last too long. But if I layer it with a dreamy lotion, the two scents mix and the bouquet is scrumptious!

Victoria’s Secret Pink SuperSoft Body Lotion in Fruity & Bright makes a delicious mate for the powder.

When I pair the two the together the fragrance is sweet and delicious and lasts all day.

A perfect combination for the warm days ahead! or a wonderful surprise for Mom!

What about you ladies? Ever tried a “dusting powder”? Does it keep you lightly fragranced?

  1. I have never, ever heard of this before. I feel like I’ve been left in the dark for – well, for my whole life!

Do you put the powder everywhere? Or on your legs and arms mostly? So many questions…

  2. I’ve always been a “nut” about putting powder on after a shower – I personally like it at the bend of my elbows, bikini line, under my arms, under “the girls”, the small of my back and sometimes I’ll put some on my chest and shoulders.

That’s just the places that I like to put it – it makes me feel soft after my shower.

Give it a try!! You’ll feel SO pampered!! ♥

  3. i just use shower to shower, in a lavender scent, which can be found just about anywhere and is very inexpensive. i use it in the same places cheryl mentioned, and sometimes on my feet too. i notice the scent doesn’t last but i mostly use it to keep dry and keep my skin soft, so the scent isn’t a huge motivator for me i guess. but the shower to shower IS a nice cheaper option for those who are feeling the hit of the recession!

  4. I’m like Cheryl, I use Lush ‘Candy Fluff’ powder after most showers in the summer in the same places except the bikini line. I dust it on pretty heavily on my neck and chest for a night at the club because the sparkles look so lovely in photos. 🙂

With that said, this particular scent attracts bees like CRAZY in the summer.

  5. I have NEVER used powder. Hunh.
