CoverGirl Outlast LipStain

I’m a BIG fan of lip color! Especially the long last lip colors. Most people that know me, know that I don’t leave the house with out lip color and gloss!….ok, let’s be honest, I even wear lip color when I’m home doing laundry and cleaning! LOL I feel naked with out it.

So I was thrilled recently when I was given the opportunity to try and review CoverGirls Outlast LipStain.

Outlast LipStain is a stain in a tube with a tip similar to a felt tip pen. The design makes applying the stain quite easy, meaning there are no worries of getting stain outside of the lip line. What I particularly like about CoverGirl’s stain is the multitude of colors available. Unlike other brands that has only one or two shades, there is something for everyone in the Outlast line.

I had never used a stain before and the idea of a “felt tip pen” applicator was intriguing to me.

I thought the applicator was a little hard to get used to, at first. If felt “odd” coloring in my lips with a marker! LOL But I really liked the out come. You can control how much color you want, by making a few dots across our lip and quickly blend with your finger for just a touch of color – or you can layer the stain until you get the depth of color you want.

The stain lasts, for me, about 4+ hours and you can leave it by itself for a matte finish, add clear lip balm for a semi matte look or clear gloss for a shiny, translucent bright colored finish.

I know I’ve priced lip stains before and they can be pretty pricey! This is definately a luxe for less, selling for about $7-$9 at most retailers.

The only down side to this product?…………………too many colors to choose from! LOL! I ordered the Flirty Nude for my review, but I can’t wait to run out and try some of the other 9 colors!
