It probably goes without saying that I’m a bit of a beauty product junkie.
Nothing makes me swoon quite like a stroll through Sephora or a brand-new mascara that promises to add inches to my lashes.
But this economic downturn has kind of been cramping my style.
It’s hard to not feel guilty spending $20 on a Stila lip gloss when times are so uncertain.
But you know what? I don’t have to feel guilty anymore.
The Fairest opened its online doors yesterday and buying high-end beauty products will never be the same again.
Up to 75% off retail for products that never go on sale.
Translation: $16 Stila lip pots on sale for $8 and $50 Jurlique Rose Hand Cream yours for the bargain price of $23.
Somebody pinch me.
New lines are featured everyday (look for Butter LONDON, Korres and Tarte over the coming days), and it’s totally free to become a member.
Which means that you can still afford to look gorgeous, recession notwithstanding.
Who’s the fairest (and thriftiest) of them all?
Why you are, naturally.

I do believe I hear angels singing!
Teehee. You are so cute. So how do they get such good prices, do you know? Going to check it out now…
I’m not sure how they’re able to offer those prices. My gut says it’s operating a lot like those fashion sites (Gilt Groupe and the like). All the sales are short-term, so it gives the line great exposure, increases their consumer base but isn’t a long-term discount. This way, it doesn’t become a “TJ Maxx” for beauty products, kwim?
So excited, you have no idea. Love this!!
Oh, very cool! Love this.
oohhh thanks for sharing!!
