Everyone has an LBD (Little Black Dress). And if you don’t, you should.
(Get thee to a store ASAP and buy one! I’ll be here when you get back. Seriously.)
The key to expanding your wardrobe sometimes is to just think outside the box. Work with what you have and try to see things you’ve had for years in a new light.
My little black dress was one I bought from Express years ago (hello, 1997), but had a classic shape and being black would go with just about everything.

I hope this has inspired you to play around in your closet. It definitely pays to do so. I came up with 5 + new outfits I can’t wait to wear now.
P.S. You may have seen these as part of a contest entry I submitted at The Looks for Less. Unfortunately I didn’t win, but I did learn alot!
P.S.S. I hope the formatting on this post stays put. Sorry if it looks a little wonky in your browser. I’m new to WordPress! 🙂

You are a genius.
If you’re ever in Indiana I’ll PAY you to come look at my closet and take me shopping.
I love that black cardi in the 9-to-5 look… do you remember where it’s from??
Wow!!! You did a great job creating all those looks!! Plus your pictures are so creative. I could never create those looks, but thanks for the inspiration.
Great post! Here’s an LBD look I came up with for a holiday party:

Please come up with more posts like this on how to expand a clothing item!
How fun! Especially love the third “working 9 to 5” look — I would totally rock that at the office. Yay!
