Never To Be Seen Again

I just returned from a two week cross country trip with my family. We drove (gasp!) all the way from NC to Chicago. While the whining and car sickness from my three kids was not particularly fun, the fabulous wedding I attended there was.

I brought a little black dress with me, and I even had shoes to match. What I didn’t have was a good strapless bra. My dress is comfy, and it works with a regular bra, but those pesky bra straps tend to peek out on the shoulders. While whining about this to a friend, she told me about something she just called “bra tape.” Intrigued, I lugged the kids to a local Target on the morning of the wedding. After approaching three random women in the store and asking them if they knew anything about said bra tape, I found it.

Lingerie Solutions Dress Tape With Dispenser came to my rescue. I paid about $8 for it at Target, although I couldn’t find it on their website.

It comes in a dispenser just like a tape roll. Basically it’s just like double sided tape, but it sticks to fabric and skin. After getting dressed, I tore off two small pieces and stuck the top of my bra straps to the inside of my dress straps. I even used a tiny little piece to stick a loose rhinestone back onto my dress without having to sew it. They stayed put all night!

Here’s a picture my daughter took on my phone: me, my sister, and my mom – no bra straps hanging out!!!

I think this stuff is great. I wish I would have found it earlier!

Have you used a product like this? Found any other ways to use it? Let me know!

  1. This is ingenious! I must have some because I have this problem all the time for some reason. Those shirts that need a regular bra, not a racerback, but the straps still won’t stay hidden! Love it!

  2. Amazing!!! I SO need this!!!
