Today the kidlets and I went to the opening of a brand new Olly Store in Collegeville. I've shopped at Olly for my kids shoes ever since my oldest was a baby. I think they have the best brands, the best store and the kids actually love going there.
Today was extra special – we met the Olly bear, got balloon animals and got faces painted:
I loved meeting the folks behind one of my favorite kids companies, including the co-founder, Katherine Chapman (who was positively lovely). Olly has such a commitment to their customers and they strive to make a typically unpleasant experience (shoe shopping with kids) and making it as painless as possible.
Colin hopped on the Olly Scan and I discovered that he wears a size TEN. His current sneakers… are a SEVEN. WHOOPS! This happens to me all the time. So he got some killer new Nike sneakers that he refused to take off for the rest of the day. (Really, he's taking a nap in them right now!) Gracie got some adorable Tsukihoshi sneakers for school. Ellie couldn't find anything she really loved – but I tried really, really hard to talk her into these! She wasn't interested. She's more of a Puma or UGG kinda girl.
We had such a fun morning that the kids were sad to leave. A shoe store. (Really, that's how fun their stores are!) I'm so excited that Olly has just launched their online website – now everyone can enjoy the store everyone in Philly loves! They are offering Free Shipping to celebrate – so go take advantage!
disclosure: i received a gift bag and enjoyed a special discount at olly for attending this event. i was not compensated financially for this post.
