It’s the official Chic Critique Shapewear Ambassador here to tell you about yet another fabulous shaper I’ve discovered. Not too long ago, I told you about the Kymaro Body Shaper. I still love it, but it’s hard to wear in the summertime because the straps often show with my skimpier summer tops. So I’d been at a loss for something to wear to hold my midsection in check until I went to a blogging event and received the new Kymaro Cami in my swag bag.
The Cami has clear straps so you can wear it under tank tops and wide necklines without anyone being wise to the fact that you are wearing shapewear. Like the Body Shaper, the Cami sits underneath the bra so it doesn’t reshape your chest area, a feature I particularly like. You can wear it with a strapless bra or any ordinary bra. It smooths out the belly and back and gives you a nice slim silhouette under all the latest fashions.

Seriously, y’all. Shapers are my life saver. I love wearing low rise jeans, but without shapewear, it’s Muffin Top City. I have thin arms and legs, and all extra weight settles in my midsection. The Kymaro Cami allows me to wear clothes that I’d never be comfortable enough to wear out of my house. I wear it at least several times a week.
I know that wearing shapewear sounds uncomfortable and confining, but you know, up till about 60 years ago, no self-respecting female would leave her house without a girdle. (Of course, the same could be said for pantyhose, but I’m in no rush to see that trend resurface anytime soon.) I suppose feminism and the sexual revolution can be credited with throwing shapewear (and pantyhose) to the wind, and perhaps that’s not such a bad thing. But honestly, a little bit of light undergarment support can go a long way towards keeping us looking fit and trim. I don’t wear one all the time, but when I need it, I sure am happy to have such a variety of designs to choose from.
The Kymaro Cami is my current fave. How about you? Do you have a favorite shaper?

I’ve still been wearing Spanx, I’ve never really tried anything else. I must say, all the ones that Kymaro has been putting out look great, I may have to invest in some soon!
WOW! What a great price. And 6 items for $90 (incl ship) is A STEAL.
