Cuticle Care

Not too long ago I shared on my personal blog a thing or two I’ve learned about nail care. What some people don’t realize is how important cuticle care is as well. But if new growth comes from the nail bed and your cuticles aren’t healthy, your nails won’t be either.

When I started paying attention to what kind of shape my cuticles were in I realized they were what you would call overgrown. On my next trip to Walmart I picked up this:

Sally Hansen Problem Cuticle Remover

And it worked.

Now that mine are no longer overgrown, I typically just do a maintenance application once every 1-2 weeks.

I also picked up a cuticle oil at Sally Beauty Supply to keep my cuticles and skin soft and moisturized. This particular oil contains avocado oil, almond oil and vitamin E.

{A funny little tid bit about this particular brand/formula, it smells like Dr. Pepper :)}

I have definitely noticed my nails look better, are faster growing and healthier.

Do you have a favorite cuticle care product?

  1. I need some of that cuticle remover! I had some years ago that worked wonders but they discontinued it…
