Handbag Surprise

I found myself in a position a few weeks ago where I needed (literally needed, not just want-needed) a new purse fast and cheap. I quickly grabbed a handbag at the first store I came across at the mall because I had a very bored preschooler in tow who was threatening to end the shopping trip with a meltdown at any second. It was the fastest transaction known to man and the turquoise, faux crocodile was cute enough and cheap enough that I figured if it lasted a month I’d be golden.

Here’s the funny thing; I had such low expectations that I’m pleasantly surprised how much I love this bag. It has the requisite two handles that allow easy one-handed access when carrying said preschooler on my hip. It is big enough to pack more stuff than I’ll ever need but still small enough to look cute rather like a shapeless mama-tote. And, at $29.99 there is no stress about wrecking it with spilled coffee or dirt from the floor that I inevitably throw it on in the car or when returning home.

The bag is from Forever 21, a store I can honestly say I had never been in before that day as my club hopping days were over long ago. When I went online to look for this picture though I noticed a million great purses from clutch to tote all at incredibly reasonable prices. I just may have to make it a regular stop on my mall tours from now on.

  1. The image isn’t showing 🙁

    • Amy,
It did that to me this morning but when I waitied a second it showed up. Try refreshing. If not, you can find it at forever21.com.;)

  2. They do have a lot of cute bags, but I find that TJ Maxx and Marshall’s are hands down the best value for your money. They have bags in every budget, from $15 on up, and a huge variety of good quality bags. I bought a Nine West bag there a few weeks ago in the clearance section for $15. Check it out next time!

    • I love both these places for everything. I was in a super hurry and didn’t have time to browse for deals that day. You’re right though, I typically head to one of these two stores for bargain bags.
