A few months back I had trouble with watery eyes so I went in search of a more natural mascara to see if that would do the trick. I chose a travel pack offered at Sephora of Tarte mascara because it came with an eyeliner. I figured why not get the most bang for my buck. What a great idea that turned out to be. The mascara is good, but the eyeliner has become my latest obession.

Tarte’s emphasEYES super-thin inner rim liner is amazing. Now, it’s called inner rim but I personally haven’t lined my inner eye rim since I used the 99 cent violet-blue liner from Wet n Wild for all my junior high dances. Now that I’m a grown up I just think, no matter how natural a product is, it should never go that close to your eyeball. That said, this liner is so thin and precise that you can line under your bottom lashes so that they still have either the intense inner-rim look or smudge them for an amazing smoky eye. I use the black for smoky and have since purchased the brown to use on a daily basis. The formula is so creamy and easy to apply that it looks great even if you have to quickly apply it as I do most mornings. There is nothing like a little under-eye line to wake up tired eyes.
Tarte, my carpool friends thank you for this.

I often line the inner rim — usually on top and sometimes on bottom. But I promise not to ever use violet-blue. 🙂 I love the idea of natural eye liner and mascara. Thanks for the tip!
