Friends is probably my favorite TV show of all time. My favorite episodes {generally speaking} were always the Thanksgiving episodes, not just because of the content {although, c'mon, they were some of the best episodes} but because they always looked time-appropriate {that is to say, they were the perfect blend of classic and trendy} and super-festive. Most importantly, they dressed {or rather, were told what to wear} for their personal style. Each actor looked great in the colors and outfit chosen for them, and they all looked nice together at the table.
Now, I know the chances of getting your Uncle Fred to dress in a way that compliments your personal style is asking an awful lot, but with my suggestions, at least you'll look great while stuffing your pie hole with, well, pie.
Is your Thanksgiving meal a more formal affair? Why not rock this look:
{1. Ruffled-Front Short-Sleeve Shirt 2. Flat Hoop Earrings 3. Wool Bell Skirt 4. Snow Bunting Ring 5. Body Shaping Full Tights 6. Jil Ankle Boot 7. Small Bow Belt}
Can't do red? Why not try out this season's hottest color – purple. Afraid of heals? Put on your favorite pair of dressy flats. This outfit has so many possibilities, but the bones of it {skirt, shirt, tights, great belt} are the makings of a great formal outfit. And since it's such a special occasion, usually spent with those you love, don't be afraid to add some flare with that funky bird ring, or any statement jewelry for that matter. Just don't make a statement with every piece - it'll take away from the outfit, and let's be honest – look super-gawdy.
Be sure to come back tomorrow – we'll be looking at a more casual option for Thanksgiving dinner!

Love this. I never dress up that much for holiday meals, but last year my neice-in-law (lol) came to Christmas dinner dressed up in heels and a skirt and blouse and she looked so cute. I remember thinking what a nice tradition that would be.
