It’s no secret I’m a big fan of the Suave Professionals haircare line. I save money and still get great results. Favorite!
So when they e-mailed me about their new Suave Professionals line, I jumped at the chance to test-drive their new products before they hit my local grocery store’s shelves in February… especially when they told me that new line included a brand new dry shampoo because I’ve recently had trouble finding a dry shampoo that actually works without paying, well, too much.
Enter Suave Professionals’ new dry shampoo.
The label says that this dry shampoo uses mineral clay to refresh hair and prevent a greasy feel between washes, as well as re-style hair by adding lift and texture.
I gave their dry shampoo the ultimate test – I washed my hair, slept on it, got on a plane (traveling always leaves my hair greasy), slept on it again, and the next morning sprayed the Suave dry shampoo onto my roots. At this point, the roots were matted down and sticky. Definitely couldn’t go into work looking like that!
At first I was a little nervous that the spray left my hair looking gray – ah, the mineral clay – but after brushing it out, the gray faded, and my hair looked full and vibrant. My roots actually had lift and texture, just like the label said. I wasn’t sure you all would believe me so I quickly grabbed my phone and snapped the picture below.

Greasy hair? Problem solved. Dark circles under my eyes? Still working on that one.
I’ve learned something about dry shampoos. No matter what the fitness magazines say, a dry shampoo is just not enough after a serious, sweaty workout. But in between washes on non-cardio days you can definitely use a dry shampoo. And if you enjoy saving a little cash like I do, try the Suave Professionals dry shampoo – after all it only retails for about $3. Won’t exactly break the bank.
And you can save even more by visiting Facebook.com/SuaveBeauty – every day you’ll have a chance to win the new Suave Professionals products before they hit store shelves. To enter, just “like” the Suave Beauty page and check back at noon EST each day.
Next week I’m going to compare my Dove Flexible Hold hairspray, with Suave Professionals’ new Touchable Finish Lightweight hairspray.
UPDATE: Within a few normal uses, the bottle was empty. I e-mailed the folks at Suave and they quickly sent me another, but I had the same issue with that one. I love the product, but $3 is just not a great deal when you only get 3 uses out of the product.
Disclosure: I did not get compensated for sharing my review though I did receive full-size samples of Suave Professionals’ dry shampoo, cream mousse, and hairspray at no cost.

I have tried at least 6 different brands of dry shampoos… but I might have to give this one a try too. What can I say, I’m obsessed.
I’ve gotten obsessed too – I used the Suave today again instead of my old Tresemme dry shampoo, and still love it. If you get a chance to try the Suave dry shampoo, I’d love to hear what you think of it compared to other more expensive brands.
I am definitely going to grab some of that!
I’m so excited to try this. I usually get my dry shampoo at a specialty beauty store. If I could pick up a good alternative without having to drag the kids to make an extra stop, that would be awesome. Thanks!
I searched high and low for this one because it comes so highly recommended. It does give good results but I noticed it really changed the texture of my hair even after the dry shampoo had been washed out a few times. I am up to 2 uses so I will definitely have to keep track of how many more I get.
