Tomorrow Vera Wang for David’s Bridal hits stores. Now you can wear Vera Wang on your wedding day without spending more on your dress than you did on your car! Gowns will range from $600 to $1,500, with most coming in under $1,200. Wang’s regular bridal line ranges from about $4,000 to upwards of $25,000.
The line will hit David’s Bridal stores will begin with a collection of twenty wedding dresses, with bridesmaids dresses to follow, and possibly children’s wedding attire after that. Which is great news for us ol’ married ladies – maybe we can own a Vera too!

I actually wore a Vera Wang as a bride and got it for a steal. I went to a bridal resale store and bought an 8000 dollar dress for $1500. it wasn’t in perfect shape, but I took it to a tailor and she made it gorgeous again.
Shortly after I got married I resold the gown on ebay for $1000. So I essentially wore a Vera Wang for the bargain price of $500. 🙂

Curious about the quality of the dresses though… obviously to get Vera Wang prices that low, she had to cut a few corners.
When shopping for wedding dresses, I had a terrible experience at David’s – every dress I tried on was frayed, or looked like it would fall apart over time… not exactly worth hundreds or thousands of dollars. Here’s to hoping Vera kept up some decent quality standards in her DB collaboration!
