Tide To Go to the Rescue!

Last weekend, my brother married a fabulous lady. Both Nicole (fellow ATC contributor and my sister) and I were bridesmaids. We thought of everything – mimosas for when we were getting our hair done, extra bobby pins for hair emergencies, tissues, bandaids… we thought of everything.

Somehow, while we were all getting ready to go meet the guys for pictures, we noticed the bride had red lipstick on her dress. RED. LIPSTICK.

It was quite small, but still. Not good. That’s when we realized we had missed a crucial item from our bridesmaid’s supplies! It was time for pictures, so we had to run and figured we’d call someone and ask them to stop at CVS on the way to the wedding to pick up a Tide To Go pen. But we were really nervous about using anything on the dress. What if it ruined the material? Or made the stain worse??

Then the bride and groom went outside to take some pictures on the city streets. They came back inside (a little chilly, since it was Cleveland in March!) and my sister and I almost died. Her dress was SO dirty. The train had dirt all over it!

My OCD was in overdrive, people. Something HAD to be done. The wedding hadn’t started yet – we could not have a dirty train be the focal point during the wedding!

Luckily, the minister had a Tide To Go pen and some wipes in her purse. We went to work.

We tested it first underneath the dress, just in case. We ended up using the Tide 2 Go pen, then rubbed it with the wipes, and it worked! EVEN on the red lipstick!!

It took about ten minutes, but that dress was clean again!! I was so nervous about using anything on that gorgeous dress, but I’m so glad we tried it! The bride was radiant, and the dress was perfect!

Isn’t she lovely? (She was seriously breathtaking – one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen!)

A super thanks to Tide To Go — you saved the day!

We had to do the same thing at my cousins wedding. She went to the bathroom before the ceremony and when her bridesmaid lifted the skirt up for her, she accidentally “kissed’ the front of her skirt. It was pretty noticeable too. My aunt started praying over it while my mom attacked it wit a shout wipe. (Before the days of Tide to Go unfortunately.) She couldn’t completely get rid of the stain but lightened it enough that wasn’t noticeable unless you knew.

    • OHMY! The front of her skirt?!?! ACK!
our back-up plan was to photoshop every single picture! Thank goodness products like these exist!!
