Black and white is always classic and on trend. It is one of my all-time favorite color combinations. If you can pull it off, black on top and white on bottom is incredibly striking.
They key, as always, is to maintain proper proportions. Very few of us, for instance, can pull off white jeggings.
However, a white bootcut jean or a white trouser can balance out the width in the hips and shoulders.
If you’d rather steer clear of white on the bottom, try a black and white patterned dress.
To keep the look modern, add an unexpected pop of color with shoes or handbag. I love yellow with black and white.
How do YOU wear black and white?

I wear my darker color on my bottom half since it is bigger then my top. I”ve seen darker colors on the top work on people who are equally proportioned or those who are bigger on the top then the bottom.
Black and white can be a great combination, but it can be a little harsh on some people. I like to add one other color in the accessories–red works especially well and green can too. I happen to love white jeans and just bought my 3rd pair. So many women are scared of white jeans but to me they are a must have to make spring colors stand out.
B+W=fashion success! Love it!
Black and white is one of my favorite combo’s. It can be pulled off to create so many striking looks. I agree with Karen, white jeans, skirts or shorts are a must have for spring and summer.
I have to say that I love my white trouser pants, they truly are fantastic. You are so right though black and white is always going to be in.
wow! that Lattice Sheath is GORGEOUS. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Drool.
And, you know my answer. I wear my black and white with pops, whooshes and splashes of color.
I totally need to bite the bullet and try some white pants! And that pop of yellow in the last outfit is just perfect.
I love buying white and black pieces from the White House Black Market. That store seems to do a good job balancing the two colors.
