Biotrue Contact Solution

You know how your eye doctors tell you that you should only be wearing your contacts 10 hours a day?

I’m that person they’re always yelling at. The one who pops them in first thing in the morning and wears them until it’s time for some shut-eye. And even though my contacts hold up rather well to my extended-wear schedule, it’s pertinent that I keep them as clean and comfortable as possible.

Instead of creating a solution compatible with the complex chemistry of our eyes, Bausch+Lomb decided to imitate it. Biotrue not only consists of a lubricant that is naturally found in your eyes, but also matches the pH of your tears. After soaking my contacts in the solution all night, I was ready to give Biotrue a go. Not only did my contacts feel cleaner, but there was no ‘stinging’ that can sometimes be associated with putting contacts into your eyes real early in the morning. But that was just the morning…16 hours later, I removed my lenses and was impressed that I hadn’t had any irritation or redness the entire day. This solution appears to be extend-wear approved!

If you’re a contact-wearing-rule-breaking person like myself, I’d suggest you give Biotrue a try. It’s definitely a step above the other contact solutions you’ll find on the shelves, and you can’t be too careful when it comes to caring for your eyes.
