What I Wore {to Cape May}

This past weekend, Melissa and I attended a press trip to Cape May, New Jersey to visit Congress Hall and some of the other properties owned by Cape Resorts Group. Can I just say, I love my job!!

Here are a few of the outfits we brought along:

I wore this to dinner at The Rusty Nail, a casual beachy surfer bar — with fabulous mojitos, I might add.

I wanted to be cool and casual because we were going to be eating outside at the beach. And I had this metallic sweater vest that I hadn’t worn. When we had our All Things Chic style event at Bloomingdales last month, the displays were all about crisp, clean neutrals — this summer’s hottest trend.

So I decided to try the gray vest over my white cropped skinnies and a double layer of white tank tops. I kept the neutral thing going with the pewter sandals and my Stella & Dot Riviera Coin Necklace.

I wore this next outfit on Saturday on our farm tour and then to dessert at The Virginia. These are my trusty Joe’s Jeans – Crinkle Cuff Bermudas with a ribbed tank from Banana Republic.

And on the last night, I wore my CAbi Grecian Tank with my white 7 For All Mankind bootcut jeans and my Coach snakeskin espadrilles. I didn’t get a full length shot, but it was basically this outfit with different accessories.

Here we are at dinner in The Blue Pig Tavern, located in Congress Hall. Melissa wore a gorgeous ice blue ruffled blouse from LOFT with white jeans.

For dinner at The Rusty Nail, she wore this chocolate brown maxi dress with her Jennifer Aniston sandals. LOVE those shoes. I’m seriously lusting after those babies!

And here she is one afternoon by the pool in her floral tunic coverup from Athleta. LOVE this look.
