Get ready to revolutionize your (travel) life.

I moved to the US from Perú when I was a little girl. My sister and I returned to Lima every summer to maintain our Spanish fluency, and we took weekend trips all over the country to learn about our rich cultural heritage.

All this is to say that I’ve been a jet-setter from the time I was 5 – when I was taught to understand the importance of a good neceser, or toiletries bag, when traveling.

A good neceser has enough space for all the essentials, organizes toiletries in a way that makes them easy to store and retrieve, has a good zipper that keeps everything in, is sturdy enough to withstand spills and stains, and comes in a pretty color.

Several years ago, I came across a pink pink nylon neceser that provided all the above requisites for a great neceser, plus one very important attribute – a built-in hook that allows you to hang the neceser almost anywhere in the bathroom, freeing up limited counter space.

This is a really big deal when you have to share a bathroom with four other people on vacation. Or when you travel to New York and stay in a hotel room the size of your closet at home.

I bought mine at a thrift store, but you can order yours brand-new at the very affordable price of $34.95. If you want a smaller neceser, the cost drops to $22.95. And if you want one big enough for your stuff and your kids’, the family-size costs $49.95.

Don’t believe me? This neceser has nearly 700 review on LLBean.com, and still has five stars. I don’t know about you, but I rarely see a product online with that many positive reviews.

Happy travels!

Been using the Large (not sure they had the Family size back when we bought one) for several years now and it is GREAT! Fits everything for a week long vacation for 2 and in recent years has also been able to accommodate the kids too! A travel must I agree!
