Melissa and I were thrilled to be invited to view Rachel’s Zoe’s new fashion line at Neiman Marcus yesterday. I mostly know Rachel Zoe for her picks on Piperlime — I always check out her recommendations before I peruse the site — but she also hosts her own fashion reality TV show, The Rachel Zoe Project, on Bravo.
Her debut line reflects her typical boho-chic style, but she does it with class. In a short video clip we viewed, she explained that her line is designed to be “on trend, not trendy” — a good thing, considering the price point. You will definitely want to be able to wear these pieces for more than one season. While the price point is probably on the high side for the average Jane, it’s in the mid-range for Neimans. If you’re shopping for an extra-special event, you might be able to justify the price tag when you see how utterly fab her pieces are.
The first thing that caught my eye was this Sequin Shift Dress. I loved it on the mannequin and I loved it even more when the model came out wearing it.

I also love this camel Belted Military Jacket & Wide-Leg Pants. The fit and cut of both the jacket and the pants were just divine. Of course it helps to be 5’10” and a size 2, but seriously, those pants would make anyone’s legs look a million miles long.

And then there was this Belted Trench. Isn’t that just sublime??

And Rachel didn’t just stop at apparel. She also designed a collection of handbags that will make you drool. (Don’t say you weren’t warned!)
Take a look:

The Sophie Shoulder Bag with its gold animal-print lambskin and golden hardware is just to. die. for.
Big thanks to the PR department at the King of Prussia Neiman Marcus for hosting us yesterday!!
