I have a bit of an obsession with coats. I have . . . um . . . far too many. Let’s leave it at that.

But right now I am hankering after a new trench. The one I have is a lovely teal 3/4-length trench, and at 5 years old, it’s still going strong. But sometimes it seems a little too dressy for throwing on over jeans to run errands.

I have in mind something like this DKNY Military Style Trench Coat — the military trend is hot right now, and this trench is a nice blend of casual and chic.

Or perhaps this AK Anne Klein Belted Safari Jacket would be a better choice. I love the length – so flattering.

Ooooooh white would be fun for a change! Take a look at this Tommy Hilfiger Zoe Trench!

But if was going to go all out and splurge, this Pan-Am Coat by Trina Turk would by far and away be my first choice. Okay it’s not even quite a trench. But isn’t it gorgeous!?
