30-Day Challenge: Closet Chic Week 2

So, are you thinking about joining in on The Challenge? You should, if for no other reason than it gives you an excuse to shower and do your hair and makeup every day. {Or is that just me?}

This is what I looked like this week {I think I need some new poses, no?}:

1. Shirt – Anthropologie{last year}, Cami – Gap Maternity, Skinny Jeans – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes

2. Cardi – H&M, Cami – Gap Maternity, Jeggings – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes

3.{Me} Dolman Shirt – Express, Tank and Skinny Jeans – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes {My Lovely  Sister} Top – Express, Jeans – Kohls, Boots – Bakers Shoes

4. Tee – Zara, Jeggings – AEO, Scarf – H&M, Boots – Bakers Shoes

5. {Me} Top – Anthropologie, Cami – Gap Maternity, Jeggings – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes {Marcus} Top – Zara, Jeans – Old Navy

6. Cowl Neck Top – Gap, Tank and Skinny Jeans – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes

7. Top – Zara, Skinny Jeans – AEO, Boots – Bakers Shoes

{find out why I’m still wearing my maternity cami’s here}

I’m going to be honest here – I wasn’t feeling particularly inspired this week. I think it’s because I spent a lot of time in the house. {You would think a SAHM would spend a lot of time in the house most of the time – I try to be a rebel though.} There were a couple of times I went out though; picture 3 I went shopping with my sister, picture 4 I went to the grocery store {SCORE!} and I do try to look best when I go out.  Although, I really would like to try to look best for my husband – not strangers – if I’m being perfectly honest, so I don’t know why he got 2nd best this week.

Anyway.

Number 4 is my favorite of the week, because it looks {and felt} easy-fashion-casual. Effortless and stylish. Yes, number 4 is a keeper. What say you?

  1. I still wear my Gap maternity camis, too – my kid is 3. I’m 5’8″ and you’re RIGHT. They’re long, they’re soft, they’re flattering. Boom.

    I’m not ashamed to admit that I reordered more last year to replenish my supply. And there’s never going to be a second pregnancy to ever (EVER EVER) cross my path. 🙂

    • we’re out of the maternity cami closet together! 🙂 {i’m with ya on the having no more kids train – although my husband is telling me to keep an open mind. we’ll see.}

  2. I like #4 best too. I think all the other outfits are just the same outfit with various different pieces, if that makes any sense? Jersey-like top, skinny jeans, boots. It’s how my closet ends up with all different pieces that all look exactly alike in the end. And sometimes I try to tell myself “it’s just my style”..but sometimes I think we all fall into a trap and just rebuy the same items. I’d be hard pressed tell you off the top of my head why each day was different as in my mind now that I’m down her in this comment box I remember “beige top, jeans, boots.” The white stands out from that with the scarf. That’s why I think you probably felt it was a keeper.

    still, you looked better than most of us do who stay home. So kudos for trying!
