NFL Apparel: For Women!

Back in the day {I’m almost 27 – that’s a legitimate statement for me now, right?} as a football fan and a woman, if you wanted to sport your team’s logo, you had the pleasure of doing so in gear made for a man. Boxy, loose-fitting {in an unflattering way} and, well, man-ish.

Not cute. And certainly not chic.

I should know – I’ve been rockin’ Steelers jersey’s and sweatshirts  practically since birth. And you know what? Every time I slipped on a new jersey,  I had to forfeit my desire to be even remotely fashionable and just deal with the equivalent of an over-sized potato sack for the duration of the game.

In case you were wondering, it really gets in the way of a good Terrible Towel wave. We wave our Terrible Towels in our living room too, ya know.

Enter: NFL Apparel for women.

All the goodies you want: JerseysIntimates, even Maternity {SO wish I knew about this when I was pregnant!} made for women!

My favorite? This hoodie:

{in case you can’t see, the back says “meet me in the end zone”}

It’s super-soft, comfy, and it doesn’t interfere with any Terrible Towel-waving. And super cute to boot! Win-win-win.  My only complaint? WHY are they just inventing this stuff NOW? This is a positive gold mine! Women are sports fans too, and now we can show it properly. My next team jersey? Will definitely be coming from the “women’s department” and will, no doubt, look much better!

Don’t miss the Touch line by Alyssa Milano. Love. LOVE. This sweatshirt is fantastic:

Be sure to check out the NFL Women’s Apparel shop – especially their breast cancer awareness line, and find them on twitter and facebook for the latest updates.
