What We Wore This Week 01.18.12

Its Wednesday, so lets see what our super chic contributors are wearing this week!

What Jo-Lynne Wore: Purple sweater and tweed skirt (both from Banana Republic) and tights (Spanx) with Dansko Brinkley Boots. I was late for church, thus the watch photo, ha! I accessorized with a simple silver necklace and chunky hoop earrings, both by John Hardy. Purse is Hobo Int’l (similar).

It was FREEEEZING on Sunday so I wore my cozy new winter coat (similar and also) that I picked up on a 50% off sale at the mall last week. When I bought it, I wasn’t sure I’d really get my money’s worth out of it; but I’ve already worn it three times, and I am here to tell you, I already got my money’s worth out of it. We have had a mild winter, but it suddenly turned bitter cold and windy last Thursday, and I have been so glad I had this. Not only does it break the wind when I’m outside, but it keeps my legs warm when I slide into my car and sit down into those frosty-cold leather seats.

What Cita Wore: I snapped a quick photo in the airport bathroom! Air travel fashion for me is entirely focused on comfortable layers, so I paired my comfy Costco leggings with a pink, flowy top (Christmas gift from Spain, no label); black cardi from Marshall’s; old navy jean jacket and aerosoles pumps from salvation army.
I bought these shoes practically new for $8. They are so comfortable, I wear them all the time. You’d be surprised by these heels- they’re more comfortable for running across an airport terminal than most of my flats!
My chandelier earrings came from the Macy’s clearance rack (new favorites!) and the scarf was a gift from my aunt.

What Melissa Wore: I paired this fun striped tee shirt (which has quickly become one of my favorite shirts!) with the cape I haven’t worn in forever. The cape if from Nordstrom Rack (similar here). When we left to go run errands, I remembered why I haven’t worn it in forever – you can’t really wear a cape under a winter coat and still be able to move your arms. So I swapped out this cardigan and added this fun scarf I just picked up on clearance at Old Navy (for like $3) for a bit of bright on a rainy day. I finished with my favorite jeggings (on sale and an additional 20% off with code NEW YOU) and my super warm Uggs.

What Nicole Wore:  I received this fun half moon turquoise and tangerine bracelet from Poshlocket this week!  The bright colors remind me of summer days, but unfortunately we’re in the middle of a snowstorm.  So I had to bundle up in order to run errands the other day in a ruffle shirt from Urban Outfitters, cardigan from Loft, belt from Forever 21, skinny jeans from Express and of course, warm boots from Charlotte Russe .  Adding this bracelet was just the pop of color I needed!
