One of my favorite red carpet mama’s, Sandra Bullock, looked smokin’ hot at the Oscars on Sunday night. With those killer cheekbones and warm brown eyes, it’s no surprise. But, here are her makeup artist’s tips on the look. Now, let’s all run home and try it!
Makeup By Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist Angela Levin started off Sandra’s looks with a “rich dose” of CHANEL Sublimage La Creme Texture Supreme. This product serves to clean the skin and create a smooth base for makeup. Fifteen minutes later, she applied a light coat of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Compact to the eye lids and forehead, to avoid making Sandra look too made up. (This product will be available March 19 for purchase and is a doable splurge at $58!)
The cheeks were rendered fresh and youthful with warm blush and those gorgeous peepers were then brought to life with a few different CHANEL products. First, a base (CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre in Emerveille–a luscious bronze with a hint of shimmer) followed by all of the colors from the CHANEL Quadra eyeshadow palette in Enigma. This is a great palette for brown eyes but also brings out the pigment in blue and green eyed gals. Levin used the chocolate grey on the outer lid, violet grey on the eye crease, pink directly under the brow bone and deep plum across the lash lines. This look creates dimension and makes eyes appear bigger, but is subtle enough to work for a date with your husband or a book club meeting. For added drama (you might consider skipping this part for book club!), the lash lines were then lined with CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Noir, a deep, rich black. CHANEL mascara rounded out the eyes and then Sandra’s pretty pout was treated in CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Color in Mademoiselle, a pink-red with attitude that lasts all night, and topped off in CHANEL Glossimer Braise lipgloss. The lip look is another little treat you may want to give yourself this spring; CHANEL lip products are known to last for hours and their glosses bring a certain sexiness that I’ve been unable to match in all my lip searches.
Sandy is always one of my favorites to watch for. She always looks fabulous.
