I used to be a regular volunteer in the Nursery at church, and I remember one specific Sunday when we were packing everything up and one of the clean-up guys approached me with a runaway pacifier.

“Do you know who this binky belongs to?”

I almost snorted at him – we had runaway pacifiers every week, it seemed – when I looked at it and realized that I actually did know whose it was; it belonged to the son of my friend Heather and she mentioned losing it earlier that morning.
